Ten years ago, GDI Hub brought together the experts behind the London 2012 Paralympic Games alongside academic and cultural institutions across London to ask a simple but ambitious question: What’s next for disability innovation?

A decade on, we’ve reached more than 77 million people across 70 countries, with a growing global community of innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, disabled leaders and partners working to make a more inclusive world 🤩

Last week at @sadlerswells_east on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park we brought we hosted a London Design Festival event, bringing together an exhibition, community and more then 15+ showcases across assistive technology, inclusive design and innovation.

It was an opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved over the past decade, hear from the people shaping the sector, and look ahead to what comes next 👀

Thank you to @diversemade Media who captured this day, and our partners, collaborators, innovators, researchers and the disability community for being part of this journey and for helping make the day such a success.

On Monday we celebrated 10 years of Disability Innovation bringing together hundreds of activists and technologists, founders, emerging disabled leaders, innovators, researchers and influential voices across disability and development for this @l_d_f_official event.

Hosted at @sadlerswells_east on the @queenelizabetholympicpark - where the GDI Hub began in the legacy of the London 2012 Paralympic Games - the exhibition, talks and reception brought together brilliant people, big ideas, new technologies and emerging research, alongside the ecosystems that drive change.

Thank you to everyone that joined us. Tonight, I joined the actors group 'Storytime Readings' in performing several small plays.

I got to be a variety of characters in those plays:

Caution: Love Ahead - The Cat.

The House Edge - Cash.

The Bar Cookie Protocol - Second Suit.

The Last Watch - Sir.

I am grateful for the safe space that 'Storytime Readings' is because it gives me ample opportunity to practice my craft and take on the identities of diverse characters while also allowing me to connect with a lovely, incredibly diverse community of beautiful individuals who love acting.
