After years of work and building this car I've finally had my dream come true. After getting my 2025 overall ultra4 king of Australia win at round 3 I gave myself a personal goal to get the season mod class win in 2026.
Safe to say i smashed that goal with 1st place in each round.
Each round i thought it slipped through my fingers after beating the crap out of this little car and it managed to get me there each time.
Ive done so much to this little jimny after I dragged it out of the backyard as a bare shell. But it wasn't all me. I couldn't have made it happen without the mates around me.
Weather it was J @the_golfcart_shed helping me build it into a rolling chassis. And volunteering as navi, I wouldn't want anyone else in that passenger seat.
Ben @coil_mn helping with making anything out of the ordinary and prepping for races.
Jesse @housemoneymotorsports with the roll cage and bar work.
There is so many that contributed to this and I thank everyone thats given me time or even just come around to drink my drinks and throw ideas around.

For normal people it would be time to chill out and have a break. Not me. next year im coming back with more power, more noise but the main goal is to have more fun. And that dosent happen by itself. So its about to come apart again.

Jared Casey, helping build the gu diffs and lots of late nights making random stuff.
Blake boroughs, with exceptional bog work after i rolled during a test run and prepping
Riley Evans, for answering and strange race questions I had and being one of the main inspirations to race.
Daniel hewson, for helping smash out little jobs and give outside ideas on problems.
Bruce at all metal magic, helping me get the shocks to actually work after racing on them blown for 2 races.
Chris (big boss man diversion Garage) for the tune work and putting up with my foreign 4wd stuff around the workshop.
Anyone that had ever helped in the pits too, as little as handing us a water bottle or putting fuel in every little bit helps.

Hard to believe this was the car I bought all those years ago.

2013 WRX Special Edition, still sitting on the stock wheels with a couple of basic bolt-ons.

I’ve never wanted to build an STI imitation. The whole idea has been to build my version of a WRX — something original, a little different and in its own lane.

The custom painted front grille is probably a good example of that. It was designed specifically for this car, and that’s the direction I want to keep taking it.

My build, my way.

Still plenty more to come.

We were on the ground at @worldtimeattackchallenge and it delivered on every level. Two days of the world’s fastest time attack machines chasing the One Perfect Lap.

Huge respect to every team that brought their car, the energy in the paddock matched the action on track.

Every year, big events like WTAC give us a chance to catch up with so many friends from around the world.

It’s always great to see everyone, spend some time together, talk cars and motorsport, and simply enjoy the atmosphere.
