Understanding others helps us better understand ourselves 🤝✨ We were honored to welcome the Diversity Center to our program, where our participants learned about respect, empathy, and the importance of using the names and pronouns people identify with. A special thank you to Em and the entire Diversity Center team for visiting us and leading such a meaningful conversation that reminded us that our differences make our community stronger.

Wow! @janeelliottfilm just picked up its third audience award in recent weeks at the 50th Cleveland International Film Festival! The film also received a jury honorable mention.

Huge thanks to @clevelandfilm and everyone who showed up. We’re so moved by the way people are responding to the film.

The students at The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio’s Leadership Conference were nothing short of spectacular! They did such a wonderful job dreaming big and inspiring one another 🚀 We discussed leadership by way of artistry, showing up as our true selves, and how far we can go together rather than by ourselves. Our mission is to create bold, confident leaders from today’s youth. The future is in safe hands with these kiddos 💛

The CROWN Act Passes — Protecting the Right to Wear Natural Hair Without Discrimination!

Last night, Cuyahoga County made history as the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐡𝐢𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐍 𝐀𝐜𝐭 — affirming that hair discrimination has no place in our workplaces, public spaces, or communities.

We extend special thanks to Cuyahoga County Councilman Michael J. Houser, Sr. for sponsoring this landmark legislation, with additional co-sponsorship from Councilwomen Meredith Turner and Yvonne Conwell.

Lastly, to the community partners who lent their support to this issue: your commitment to equity have set a new standard for our state and beyond!

Today, we kicked off the 2025/2026 Cavaliers Social Impact Academy at the historic site of the 1967 Cleveland Summit!

20 high school students from Cuyahoga County have been selected to take part in this first-of-its-kind program; an 8-month journey of learning, leadership, and community impact.

From tackling pressing social challenges to developing creative solutions, these future leaders will grow into change makers dedicated to building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world!

Big thanks to our partners at @diversity_neo for helping to lead the first session on identity and awareness. This is just the beginning! 💡
