FRIENDSHIP IS BLACK LOVE IN ACTION! On October 17, @griefwitness proudly partnered with @brownsugar_blacklove_public BROWN SUGAR FRIENDSGIVING: Black Love, Friendship & Mental Health for a powerful celebration of friendship as love, community as care, and connection as wellness. 🤎 And the community SHOWED UP! The energy, vulnerability, and meaningful conversations reminded us that Black love is more than words—it's how we show up for one another. Our founder, @kwesi_jamaal, joined fellow guest speakers for a powerful panel discussion exploring Black love, friendship, grief, and mental health. Kwesi shared a personal story from Thanksgiving 2025. While grieving his beloved aunt and mentor, and spending the holiday away from family, a close friend invited him to celebrate with hers. That simple act of love became a healing moment and inspired him to pay it forward. ❤️ In that same spirit, Grief Witness gifted care packages to community members navigating grief and separation from family during the holidays. Because grief deserves to be witnessed, love deserves to be expressed, and no one should have to navigate life's difficult moments alone. Huge gratitude to Brown Sugar for creating intentional spaces rooted in Black love, mental health, and community care. And to everyone who showed up with open hearts—THANK YOU! Friendship is love. Community is care. Connection is healing. Grief Witness — You don't have to be alone with it. #blacklove #grief #communitycare #mentalhealth #friendship
