last home competition so sad but such a big moment! I’m so proud of my team and I for this amazing win. we did so amazing tonight taking home first place on our own turf. this team is not only just a team but is my family and i’m so glad I got to preform my last competition at our school with them. We have worked so hard and to lead up to this moment is amazing! I couldn’t ask for a better team or coaches because they are all the best people ever! I am so thankful for this program and i’m never going to forget all my experiences in it.

I love cheer so much, this season I improved so much with also learning some new skills and I can’t wait to improve even more over the off season and come back even better than before. I love this program and I can’t believe i’m coming up to my last season with this program. cheer family is a different type of family and I love that I get the chance to be part of that I am beyond grateful!

The Division Avenue Varsity Cheerleaders delivered two incredible performances at the New York State Championship this weekend. The team’s energy, sharp execution, and elite-level skills showcased the hard work and dedication they put in all season.

With the support of their very proud coaches, Cristen Marcy, Liz Lynch, and Sofia Guerra, the team earned the New York State Class B Runner-Up title out of 9 teams throughout the state who qualified to compete at the championship.

The team is also incredibly grateful for the support of Superintendent Todd Winch, Deputy Superintendent Beth Zirogiannis, Assistant Superintendent Jackie Guidice, Principal Jeff Myers, Board Members Peggy Marenghi and Mike Pappas, and former Superintendent Toni McDonald, who made the trip to Binghamton to cheer the team on!

So proud of this group for their commitment, heart, and teamwork on and off the mat. An amazing accomplishment and a season to remember!

After capturing the Nassau County Championship, the Division Avenue Varsity Cheerleaders will represent Class B at the New York State Championship this Saturday, March 7th, in Binghamton. Months of hard work and dedication have earned the Dragons their second trip to the championship for Competitive Cheerleading and their second trip to States this year, after already competing at the Game Day State Championship in the fall.

The team captured the New York State Championship in 2024 and returns this year looking to make another strong run at the title. Saturday will also be the final time seniors Mia Stimac, Victoria Sepulveda, Alyssa Jules, and Sophie Llewelyn take the mat as Division Avenue Cheerleaders after years of leadership and commitment to the program.

Best of luck to the entire team as they take the floor and represent Division!

Congratulations to my Hailey girl on your All-Class Award!!! When you were 5 years old cheering as an LRD peanut you said “mom that was fun but I want everyone to watch me and not the football players!” The very next year you took that mat at 6 years old and acted like a pro! You have loved this sport ever since! One thing that I know for certain is how much you shine when you are cheering. Your love, passion, dedication, and commitment to cheerleading is evident and it has all led you to this amazing year on DHS Varsity Cheer and earning this award! Keep reaching for those stars baby girl, we love you so much! 🥰💙🤍

Every coach and team mom on your path to this has a special place in our hearts! 🥰
