Upper chest isn’t built by throwing more weight around.

Control the stretch.
Drive low to high.
Squeeze at the top.

Every rep should have a purpose. 💪

“Everybody thinks we’re rich…”
A practice squad player who lasts a full season makes around $250,000. That puts you in the top 4% of earners in the country. So when an NFL player calls it rich, he is right.

The problem is what happens after that is true.

That $250K is a gross number. After federal, state, jock taxes in every city you play, dues, and agent fees, you are closer to $150,000. Still real money. But it is not the number on the check.

Then comes perception. Family, friends, the hometown see the jersey and assume you made it. The hands come out. This is where a good advisor earns their keep, not just with the planning, but by being your no person so you never have to be the bad guy.

Then lifestyle creep turns the perception into your reality, and the spending starts.

Both things are true. It is a lot of money, and it disappears faster than almost any income in America.

If you are an athlete, hear this.

Save, invest, plan early. It is okay to not buy the house in your rookie year. Give yourself enough on the sideline for financial flexibility in every season.

To @dj.darrell , thank you for being real and talking about this. I hope@you have good people in your corner to help bro. This post is all love and educational for others!

🚨Ballers Get Contracts 📑📑📑, Baller Alert🚨!!! NFL Cornerback @nfl - Darrell Baker Jr. @dj.darrell talked about his NFL practice squad Contract 📑🏈 and how that money really isn’t much. Just because someone is in the NFL doesn’t mean that player has lots of money!! Smoke-N-Mirrors 💨🪞🪞 is the best way to describe it; and especially if that player doesn’t have the financial literacy to manage his money!!! Cam Newton @cam @4thand1 covered this topic on his show @4thand1 because he has seen many players mismanage money and walk around the facility like they’re the franchise player!! When you sign your NFL Contract whether it’s a practice squad Contract 📑, learn how to manage your money and live between yours means!! Flip that money, invest, and make that money work for you!! Congrats 🎊 Darrell @dj.darrell for making the Miami Dolphins roster and no longer being on the practice squad!! God is Great!! Go Hard Young Ballers, Go Hard!! Ballers Get Contracts 📑📑📑!!! #ballersgetcontracts #nflcontracts #nfl #4thand1 #success
