• OFFICIAL RULES
Students must compose a 6 min set that features at least 6 songs from multiple genres. Using a scale from 1 to 10, judges Rob Swift and DJ Mike C will evaluate each competitor’s ability to connect their playlist in a way that’s seamless, creative, fun to listen to and constructed with the following techniques - Dropping, Mixing & Scratching.

@dj.eme’s total score is 53.

Rob Swift score
Seamless: 9
Creative: 8.5
Fun: 9
Total: 26.5
Comments: This set was SUPER SMOOTH and as much as I enjoyed it, it might have been a little too smooth. What I mean by that is, I feel like E-Me hit one gear in the first 3 minutes of his set and stayed there. I think the set needed bigger genre leaps in the first 3 minutes to score higher points in the creative category. But that said, E-Me was in control of everything he was doing. Whether he dropped, mixed or scratched, all that happened underneath his fingertips was executed damn near perfectly.

Mike C score
Seamless: 9
Creative: 8.5
Fun: 9
Total: 26.5
Comments: E-Me’s set was pretty diverse. His set had 1) music from multiple eras; 2) some trap/drill sounds; 3) some pop singing, and 4) some English rapping, among the reggaeton he played. As a bonus, I could tell even from his subtle scratches that E-Me is nice on the cut, and that added to the set for me!
