LUMBAGO is the electronic music project of Maximilian Wilhelms, who grew up in Hannover and is currently based in Göttingen. His sound draws from 90s influences, weaving together elements of progressive house and deep house built around driving basslines and a sense of energy that encourages people to get lost in the music.

dppllbn is a queer music lover based in bremen and part of Zucker club collective.
They started DJing a few years ago and got hooked on vinyl last summer. Dppllbn aims to contribute to the healing power of the dancefloor via deep and versatile tunes rooted in house, techno, deep trance and breaks.

LUMBAGO is the electronic music project of Maximilian Wilhelms from Hannover (currently based in Göttingen). His sound draws inspiration from 90s influences and blends elements of progressive house and deep house, defined by driving basslines and an uplifting energy that invites listeners to let go and get lost in the groove.
Having grown up with classical music, playing in orchestras and singing in the opera choir in Hannover, Maxi has been producing his own music since 2019. For the past four years, he has also been performing as a DJ and is a member of the collective KUNSTSTOFF. Occasionally, he performs as part of the trio HAUS^3. He has played numerous shows, primarily in Hannover and Göttingen but also across other German cities and beyond.
After releasing his own tracks and contributing one to the latest KUNSTSTOFF EP, he now adds a new contribution to the upcoming VA from the Berlin-based label
SEVEN.
The goal of his sets: to connect spaces through sound and create an open, positive atmosphere where everyday life can be forgotten, if only for a moment.

She dedicates her music to the people of Iran fighting for freedom, using house the way it was originally intended: as a rhythmic, electronic escape and a form of cultural expression for oppressed people and communities.

LUMBAGO (@dj.lumbago) is a producer, DJ, and one third of the house trio HAUShoch3 (@haushoch3.musik), based in Göttingen. This Friday, 17 July, he makes his vinyl debut on @seven.berlin’s Various Artists 03, with his track “9.55am at PANO”, a five-minute cut built for that last-track-of-the-night moment when the room pulls its energy together one last time.

He came to house music through hip-hop and classical, and comes from a musical family: his mother was an opera singer and his grandfather played with the Berliner Philharmoniker. After his mother passed, he started producing music, and still does it to stay close to her.

“Making music still lets me connect to her in a very special and beautiful way.”

He talks with editor-in-chief @badalexcheves about the new release, playing alongside his two best friends, and what’s next. Read it at hinterhaus.berlin or at our link-in-bio.
