For many years I used to wonder why I would have constant Headaches, or would not being able to sleep at night and sometimes not even be able to see things out my own two eyes. Little did I know my life was about to change right in front of my face. On the evening of February 25, 2021 I was diagnosed with the Infection of the Pituitary Gland in your Brain called “Acromegaly”. Finding out that I had been dealing with this for over 5 years and was just given the diagnosis was heartbreaking. It felt as if someone stuck there hand right through my chest, ripping my heart completely out. As the weeks went by preparing for surgery I was a complete wreck. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I was very disrespectful to my family and friends. Anyone who truly knows me know that that’s not the type of person I am even on my worst day. I was angry, sad and confused because I couldn’t wrap my head around that me of all people could be going through something like this. My faith in God and in myself was starting waver and that’s when I knew I had to get myself together. On the early morning of March 16, 2021 I was on the operating table of Torrance Memorial Hospital undergoing my Endoscopic Endonasal Brain Surgery. 5 and a half hours later with only 1 update given to my Moms and Pops I was out of surgery ready to fight for my new life! As its now been a full year since my life changing surgery, and knowing that I’m about to undergo another Major Surgery on March 21st 2022, I can definitely say that God, my Family and Friends have definitely played a huge role in this battle. Everyday is truly a trial and error with this condition but as long as you keep your head up and chest out instilling the will and faith of God then the battle is already half won. All in all I would just like to say thank you thank you thank you to each and every single person who has either checked on me, called me, shot me a text or even came to come see me.
