I’ve teased with the parts, here’s the whole. Elements of four tunes that created a stir last Sunday. I’m first of many @caravanseraibrighton DJs tonight at 8:00. Thanks to @mangodjangomusic for organising. PLUS plenty going on before... Don’t miss @theglitterbosher from 3-6 and @djbubblegumpop from 6-8. Music in this clip: Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry; The Power by Snap; Renegade Master by Wildchild; Open Up by Leftfield and Lydon; Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah by Voces8 Choir #discomusic, #housemusic, #soulmusic, #Caravanserai , #brightondj

An Anti-Fascist Carnival by the Sea

DALTONS - SUNDAY MAY 24th

DOORS at 17:00

Now with even more fun guaranteed as we’ve added more acts to an already action packed bill:

ACTRS (@weareactrs) - Queer pop-rock for people with lots of feelings who should’ve gone to therapy sooner x

(It’s us, we’re people)

Rock Paper Scissors (@rockpaperscissorss_band) a 4 piece alternative rock outfit from Brighton.
The band’s music is characterised by an ethos of noise pop with art-rock sensibility. Their influences range from Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Slowdive and the Pixies, to modern acts such as Geese and Black Country, New Road. Currently working on their debut EP.

And the fabulous DJ Bollocks (@dj_bollocks) - keeping us entertained until midnight.

This is as well as the wonderful:

Scare Taxi (@scare_taxi) an alternative goth-pop-rock duo with their unique blend of gritty goth rock, infectious pop hooks, and a dash of punk energy,

The Doll Hearts (@thedollhearts) - a gang of Brighton women on a mission to entertain.

The Tribulizations (@tribulizations) Brighton’s finest reggae vocal harmony duo.

The Bone Records (@thebonerecords) a five piece dishing out intense servings of garage rock, post punk and soul.

Hi? (@hiquestionmarkband) - Psychedelic Space Pop - nostalgia for a future that never came.

It’s pay what you can with ALL proceeds going to support Brighton’s Carnival Against Fascism (@carnivalagainstfascism) and Hope Not Hate (@hopenothate )

21.03.26 Of course most people would want a disco for their 50th birthday party, but to have School Disco is another level! Happy birthday Nick @dj_bollocks !! My 50th was spent in lockdown with everyone dancing on a laptop screen, not quite the same! 😟

@schooldiscoband on absolute bloody fire last night, even managing to blow the electrics at one point. And Rory & Laur also pulled out some impressive coordinated headbanging dance moves (not on vid alas) - just as the best boy band in Brighton should.

❤️ @rorylethbridge @elliotstanford @harhay2023 @laurence__samuel ❤️
