There’s always a village behind me, and I cannot thank each of you enough. This event is only getting bigger because of all the support and love from everyone. Thank you to the city of Lajunta, the La junta Chamber of commerce, and the Lajunta parks and rec crew for giving us the space, and the resources needed to do this. A big shout out to my parents for continuing to show up and help in any way possible. My dad handles the timing, and my mom gets our tents organized for the prizes, and registration. Dj Buddy Beezy shows up every morning, pulls a full day set under tent with the best entertainment and dj we could ask for. My best friend Cameron Ayala( lead judge) his wife Cathleen, and his whole family always show up to hang out for the day, and even let us be loud and crazy at their homes. My homie since the beginning of my skateboarding life, Rhett Cutrell is working on something big to help these events go more smoothly and more efficient and also judges, and Alyssa thank you for sticking around and being willing to help. To my brother Chris, you know i rely on you so much when it’s crunch time, and you always deal with whatever the change is from cleaning the park, concrete fixes, setting up tents, judging, sponsoring, and supporting the skatepark life. Tyler… you and your family can’t keep avoiding my praises for being one of the biggest supporters, contributors, and organizers lately. And to all the people that come and watch, clap, and show love to the competitors, thank you for being there with us. And to all the friends I’ve have the ability to meet and connect with cause you show up, skate, and create a bond with others at the park that will some of the best memories. You all killed it this last weekend, and thank you so much for everything! Can’t wait to see another 10 years from now. And thank you skateboarding…. For the best lessons, the best friends, and the love you never stop giving. 🫶🤙 📸 Tc Valdez

The wait is almost over! We are bringing all the fun to Lamar CO after years of hearing so much from the local skate community, and with the help and support of so many people, near and far, we are just weeks away from the first skate competition in Lamar. So many behind the scenes conversations, meetings, approvals, and I can’t tell you all how stoked I am for this. My friend and fellow skater @dj_buddy_beezy will be there bringing the hype with the turntables, Trent and the gang with @ftskateboards have committed to the event, and our local sponsor Dz Construction has set us up to make this event a success for everyone. Thank you again to everyone at the Lamar Chamber, the Lamar parks and recreation department for getting us set up for spectators, and to my friends and family for the continued push to keep giving back. Let’s see how big we can make this first event, and continue building community through skateboarding!! 🔥🤙
