Tomorrow’s soundtrack: Where analog meets AI.
For our Gigwell x LA Tech Week: No Guestlist, Backstage Pass event, we’re bringing together two incredible selectors for a night where music, technology, and creativity collide.
🤖 DJ CENA (ALI EL-ASSY) | LYRIA DJ EXPERIENCE
What happens when vinyl meets generative AI?
Developed in collaboration with Google, DJ Cena’s Lyria DJ Experience is a hybrid audio-visual performance combining live vinyl DJing with real-time AI-generated music powered by Google DeepMind’s Lyria RealTime and Gemini models. And it doesn’t stop at the music. Google’s Veo model generates adaptive visuals that respond to the performance in real time.
The best part? The human is still in control. AI isn’t replacing the DJ. It’s becoming another instrument in the creative process.
🦁 CVTDVDDY
Santa Monica’s hometown hero will be setting the tone with one of his signature vibey DJ sets, bringing the sounds and energy that have made him a local favorite.
Two selectors. One night. A glimpse into the future of live music. Tomorrow @1212santamonica. See you backstage.

Booked a ticket to SF on a whim last week 🌉 Wanted to understand every facet of AI during Tech Week, as an artist and a professional in the space. The grey area between technical and nontechnical keeps blending. I literally watched someone DJ with AI and vinyl this week. Genius combo 🤖🎛️ But there will always be demand for human authenticity, cuz no one wants to hear AI slop on a beat!! 🎧
