POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A few 2024 DJ memories that didn’t already make it to my grid 💕. I’m gonna get soppy here, but I’m still pinching myself that this year was real life 😅. DJing and radio hosting has brought more joy and happiness than I ever could have imagined. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunities to play out (thanks sm to the promoters 🥹) and express myself fully by combining my love of journalism with music in my radio shows. The best part has been meeting & chatting to so many incredible people in the music community. The talent out there is next level! ❤️‍🔥

This time last year I’d just posted my very first mix which I’d spent every second of my spare time practicing and preparing and had no idea what was to come. 7 radio shows and 4 mixes it brought a tear to my eye to see that people have listened to them more than 1.3k (!!) times.

My first solo gig was in March at @chesshamaya amazing Nightbird party and it was one of the best hour and 15 minutes of my life 🤣. I will never forget the feeling of the intense nerves and anxiety turning into pure joy and elation at the crowd dancing hard to the tunes I love so much. And big shout out to those two for being the most incredible support 💕.

Big love to @lwstd.fm for giving me free rein with my podcast-meets-mix radio shows 💙. The support in their community is unmatched! It’s a real balancing act to fit it all in on top of the day job, but oh my is it worth it 💫✨. Hugest thanks to all the contributors for taking time out of their busy schedules to share their stories with me - I slid into so many DMs on a whim and didn’t think anyone would actually reply 🤣. You’re all the best ♥️.

I’ve been completely obsessed with music my whole life, from growing up surrounded by guitars and Ibiza soundtracks blasting in the living room thanks to my dad, being very lucky to end my teens in Croydon during the rise of dubstep, to falling head over heels in love with all electronic genres at uni in Leeds [shoutout to 2012 being one of the crème de la crème years for dance music]. It’s all I think about 😅. So I end this year feeling mega grateful and can’t wait to see what 2025 has around the corner ♥️.

Subject: Thank you Dance Camp East

Dear friend of DCE,

Thank you for being part of Dance Camp East 2024, a celebration of love, music, dance, art, crafts and connection. You are a special part of our summer-camp community and I encourage you to take a quiet moment to reflect on what stood out for you, maybe even write it down, or why not jump on to social media and tell your friends about it?

Dance Camp East aims to nurture its roots and keep growing in every way. Whether you were camping in fire, water, air or earth circle, each elemental family overflowed with offerings to create our most diverse lineup yet in the meadow. We are so proud to be an intergenerational family of musicians, artists and most of all, dancers.

Dance Camp East is a sacred community summer-camp with many years to come.

Let's rally the banners with ideas afresh and bring on 19th-27th July 2025.

This is a true celebration of life!

How can you help?

- Buying a super early bird ticket is not only the best value (DCE guarantees there will be no cheaper ticket than this), but buying now also helps us plan the budget for 2025, a vital part of creating a successful festival.
