@hero_down_foundation Triple Crown Throwdown Finale is done and dusted! And what an amazing series this is for New England! 🙌🏽

I finished 17th of 85 in CO and 42nd overall (out of 195). These three major matches combined were incredible to shoot, but today was my most INCONSISTENT performance at a big match to-date. Across all ten stages, I placed anywhere between 6th and 58th in CO. I had an abysmal time trying to make the steal fall down, and an FTSA nearly pushed me to quit shooting completely and sell my guns.

I’ve got so much more work to do to turn my potential into consistent performances across 10-12 stages. I learned a lot through this series about what’s required to get to the “next level.” What got me to “A Class shooting capability” will not get me to where I still want to go, and now I know it.

Thank you, @johnny_hero_down_ and his Ops crew - @trushot_media_group included - at the foundation for making this series THE set of majors I look forward to every year. Thanks to the @cheshirecountyactionpistol and @kylenarkum for building yet another phenomenal match. Thanks to the boyz on the @mapoliceshootingteam for helping to drive the Commonwealth’s firearms programming in a practical direction; I’m immensely proud to be on the team.

And finally, a HUGE congrats to @kylenarkum, @mattg_48, and @luther_h for taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall in the series. I’ve learned a ton from these guys, and I’m proud to call them friends. 👊🏽

2026 Factory Gun Nationals is a wrap!

I could not have asked for a more amazing experience. Utah is one of my favorite places in the country and it just got more special to me.

The match didn’t go as well as I hoped, finishing 212th out of almost 600 competitors and shooting 75% of the best shooter out there. That is where my skill level is at right now but I see the potential for so much more.

I learned so much and will be applying every lesson learned as soon as I get back on the range this week. I have the Carolina Classic major match in 3 weeks and will be looking for a solid performance there.

I could not have done this without my brother @alexgrierlee diving deep into this sport with me the last year and a half, spending countless time & money into live practice, dry fire and shooting matches. And always pushing each other to be better.

And a huge thank you to our sponsors for supporting us in flying all the way out to Utah to compete against the best in country.

My fellow Masshole 😆 and 15-year-old junior shooter @dj_marksman9 took 2nd in A-Class at Factory Gun Nats. 💪

He comes from an awesome, supportive family and has that Massachusetts grit. It was a blast squadding up, game-planning, and competing alongside him all week.

What an experience competing at the USPSA Factory Gun National Championships in St. George, Utah.

The setting, range and stages were spectacular. Just 18 months into competing, my first Nationals consisted of 3 days and 18 stages that tested me technically, mentally physically and strategically in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Every match does that to some degree, but this was on another level.

I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and excited to get back home, see my family and continue training and learning.

A huge thank you to @WaltherArms and @Outdoor.Dynamics @cpistemcells and @postural_pathways @pointblankrange_carolinas and my family for their incredible support and help in making this possible.

I finished lower than I had hoped at 71.38%, placing 27th out of 113 A-Class Carry Optics competitors. Disappointing, yes — but more than anything, it strengthens my resolve and gives me a clearer picture of where I need to improve.

I had an awesome squad, reconnected with some familiar faces and met a lot of great people along the way. My buddy @dj_marksman9 and his family were absolutely amazing. They made me feel like part of the family while I was here and worked just as hard, if not harder, helping us throughout the week.
