“Experience. Document. Repeat.”

Recently I went thru (my first ever) “burnout” and I was desperately trying to grind through the late nights, trying to just make something while staring at a blank viewport rather than taking it as my sign to rest. It wasn’t until I saw the quote above where I felt like I just needed to listen to myself and my body to just take life slow. So for the past few weeks, I’ve stopped putting so much pressure on making something ‘worth posting’ and started saying yes to life instead!! And it was so beautiful!!!

None of these were inherently ‘productive’ but it made me love life again so much more. I think at the time my life started feeling smaller than my work, and how is one supposed to create if there’s no experiences to draw from? Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is rest and give yourself the freedom to experience. If ur going through burnout, you got this <33 also I love my friends and my life here in New York! Thanks for reading + following along.

Xoxo,
Janice
