This past Saturday the 13th, I officially graduated from my apprenticeship. It’s been a very interesting journey and it feels surreal to be here. Like it’s not even my life to live. To be able to make art for a living comes with many challenges, especially in such an early stage, but the past 2 years have been, without a doubt, proof that this is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever been a part of. However, there is no way I could’ve gotten here without a handful of people, and I’m extremely aware of how fortunate and lucky my circumstances have been to be surrounded and learn from some insanely disciplined and skilled artists. To be trusted with their knowledge and continuously be shown that people believe in me, is insanely humbling. I’m very lucky to have @goretaku be my mentor and family. Thank you for trusting me with your craft and for your patience and time teaching and guiding me. Lucky to have the best group of friends whose support and love is unmatched - you know who you are. Lucky to have crossed paths with someone like @cheeseburgerchampion who is the kindest person in the world, always wanting to help and always pushing to the next level. Most of all, @ghostof12er at my studio @clandestinerabbit for even allowing my apprenticeship to happen and letting me run with some crazy ideas with nothing but trust. But guess what, this little life still wouldn’t be mine if it weren’t for Joey @_xj.95_ . My husband, who has sacrificed so much of his own time, labor, and energy to help get me here. There has not been a single thing this man wouldn’t give to make sure I am okay and have everything I need and more. Having a loving and supportive partner throughout something like this makes ALL the difference, so I’m grateful to be at the end of this goal and reach for the next with you. I’m overwhelmed with excitement of the possibilities and endless doors that are now open, and if you’ve read this far - thank you for being here with me. I’m looking forward to continue learning and growing, meeting new people, tattooing mi bum off, and giving this craft the investment, love, and respect it deserves. Thank you @goretaku 🤍

This upcoming Friday June 27th, our studio will be hosting an event to help raise donations for families in need that are currently afraid of leaving their homes due to the mass increase of ICE presence in our communities.

Bring $40 worth of goods listed above, $40 tip for your artist, and leave with a tattoo that helped support a really good cause.
Flash will be shared closer to Friday, but even if you don’t want a tattoo, anyone is welcomed to drop off donations at our studio.

If you can’t make it on Friday, the last slide shared has some other great information on how you can help and where you can continue to support local families.
