the summer full of grievances…

…but the biggest grievance is that it couldn’t last longer. Orientation was truly a life changing experience. I got a chance to work with and to get to know the best group of people. Getting to go “home” and just look at y’all really made this experience. We also overcame obstacles together like the 4th floor! Big shout to BIG BEN for putting this clown house together. shout out to the ghost of 713. You will be missed💔

…but somehow, I have managed to stumble across some new beginnings💚💛💚

Blazer Beginnings, this past spring and summer that I have been able to experience with you all is one chapter of my story that I never expected to happen. Never did I imagine myself welcoming the entire class of ‘29, yelling my vocal cords off, becoming a firefly in front of ~500 people, burning through my wallet at various restaurants, tearing up some shoes playing pickleball, being part of a clown house, and representing the University of Alabama at Birmingham while being surrounded by some of the brightest individuals that I have ever met. Never did I imagine learning to love the early mornings, the long walks, the long talks, the rushed meals, the dense presentations, and some unappreciated destinations. When applying to this position, I had zero clue of what I would be getting myself into and now, I am still trying to process all of the memories that we made up to this point, along with some lessons I have learned about myself. Maybe this summer served as some kind of orientation for myself. This time together was truly a golden experience that I have had the luck and honor of witnessing. As I move on from this summer, the memories that we made along the way will always be with me in the future. For everything that you have done for me, Thank You .
