Long overdue to share our appreciation for each and every single person who attended our 12 Year Anniversary this past weekend: Vibe, energy, music and enjoyment, it’s safe to say this was the best anniversary yet! 🎉 12 years ago, we opened our doors to be a home for the Hip Hop Dance community. To provide space to practice, to teach, to learn, to battle and to connect with one another. We opened our space with the focus on growing the next generation and welcoming the public into our studio with open arms in a professional, yet authentic way. We were enthusiastic and passionate about having a space dedicated to community to call our own, but never could have imagined what it would grow to be. Over these 12 years, we’ve taught thousands of students, inspired a generation to take on leadership roles themselves, watched young people grow into adults and have worked with hundreds of incredible dancers and DJs from around the world, providing our local scene access to their inspirations and influential people. Thank you to our DJs, @rememberhans and @djblesone and @tybierius for collectively spinning the best music we’ve ever heard at a jam. 🎶 Thank you to our judges and workshop instructors, @sammac10k @rageyrage_ @herbisdaword @flayosito @lilrockillaforever @mightywealthy and @marleehightower for being amazing people to work with! Thank you to our sponsors and vendors @exploreedina @westinedinagalleria @risingstarzdesign @uglyycookies @redbulldance @fridaslittlemexico and @ddgoodiesfoodtruck for supporting our event in many ways to help make it possible! Thank you to our team of instructors @camerron_estes @bboyabide @bboy_e_m_a_n @kevthecas @brynhuynh @tairex17 @virgosentity and owners @leebaoie and @boogieb92 for the countless hours of teaching, organizing and showing up for our studio to make it what it is today. Lastly, thank you to our students- past, present and future who are the engine that drives everything we do. Your support means the world to us and we are grateful beyond words. B(eyoncé)_Almighty activated. Heads were spun! - my favourite round from the @headspin206 5yr anniversary. The packmates made top 8! Always an incredible time battling in Seattle with @kidd_piccolo206 . My intention lately has been to dance from my heart and to focus on feeling. It brought me immense joy how many people shared with me some variety of “I can feel the expression when you dance”. I’m realizing when you dance from your head you can make people think, but from your heart you can make people feel. I feel as though feeling holds much more power than what I think thoughts do. S/o to @stardust_moves & @lavendersandalsanto , y’all are dangerous and pushed me to fully send it with this. Greatly appreciated! Huge thanks to the judges - @kid_nimbus @eevy_ @_dkbme_ & the dj - @djblesone 🎶 Cuff it - @beyonce & @alicexhhs for filming & @orb4444 , @g_rat206 , @2andu , and everyone else involved in making the event happen. It was a truly great one! #waving #freestyle #dancebattle
