POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Well, after 4.5 years in the making, I guess it’s official. Appreciate the love @billboard 🥂

My name may be in the headline, but @hitskope is very much the product of the team behind it.

Hitskope actually started as a record label. After six years with Sony, we took everything we learned from that side of the business and evolved into an independent distribution and label services company built around a much bigger idea.

@kittwakeley and I partnered to build something different. Independent artists and labels shouldn’t have to choose between owning their careers and catalogs and having a real team behind them.

Distribution is just the foundation of what we do. The real work is everything around it. Artist development. Marketing. Publishing. Sync licensing. Release strategy. Career strategy. Problem solving. Actual human beings with high level experience who know the artist, know the catalog, know the goals, and know how all the pieces are supposed to work together.

There’s already plenty of companies that give you an upload button to get music onto Spotify.

We’ve built something much bigger than distribution. A full team with decades of major label experience, real infrastructure, resources, and strategy to help artists and labels turn releases into careers, catalogs into businesses, and momentum into actual leverage.

Really proud of what we’ve built, and we’re growing fast.

We’ve barely gotten started. 🚀

This year I have had three weddings that were not in a traditional ballroom or tent setting. Rather, a restaurant buyout where they temporarily close to the public for the wedding. I love that the bar at these events is always cool and trendy looking because it’s built-in. Typically, the alternative is an ugly roll-out cart with guys cracking open expired Coke cans for mixed drinks.

Grace & Costa hosted @ CAPO in Southie. This wedding was like two different events in one. Initially, guests arrived on the top floor for cocktail hour, where we had light introductions and formalities that morphed into dancing. However, the real party started when we moved to the basement and had ourselves an absolute rave.

Shoutout to Capricorn @capriocaptured for the pics

The Hitskope you remember was only the beginning. ❤️💿

We launched as a record label in 2017 — generating more than 3 billion catalog streams to date. The more we worked with independent artists, the clearer the problem became: artists didn’t need another company to release their music. They needed an entire operation behind it.

Today, Hitskope is a full-service music company bringing distribution, marketing, release strategy, publishing admin, rights management, neighboring rights collection, copyright and sample clearances, and sync together under one roof.
