🔥👀 CAN YOU REALLY RECREATE THE GUVERNMENT AT REBEL? 🎧🏙️💭
.
.
Thirty years of history. 🎶🔥 Legendary nights. 🪩✨ Unforgettable music. 🎧🔊 A Toronto nightlife institution. 🖤🏙️

I started my journey in the entertainment industry with a promotion company called Mass Appeal, promoting the all ages Chapters parties at The Guvernment. 🙌🏽🎟️ I believe I was involved from Chapters 1 through 8, and those memories will always mean something to me. ❤️‍🔥

But here's the question… 🤔💭 Was it just the music and the people, or was the magic inseparable from the actual place? 🏢✨

I understand wanting to celebrate 30 years. 🎂🥂 But The Guvernment wasn't just a nightclub. It was an ERA. 🔥 A CULTURE. 🎶 A SOUND. 🎧 An EXPERIENCE. 🪩🖤

And I want to hear from the people who were actually there! 👀👇🏽

🎧 DJs who played those rooms
🔥 Promoters who helped build that scene
🖤 The original Guvernment family who lived those nights

Can you recreate The Guvernment at Rebel, or can you only recreate the party? 🤔🏙️

Toronto nightlife OGs, let's hear your stories! 🎤👇🏽 Don't be shy! 👀🔥

Back to the foundation!
I dug in the crates and pulled out some gems for a rare all vinyl set at the legendary me @playderecord , the same record store I came up in. Some real full circle shit!

Large up @pdr_sessions @djdavecampbell @kumara_647
for the invite. I’ve been really getting back into vinyl lately, so the timing could not have been better!! 💜

One of the city’s greatest stopped by for a session @4korners blessed us by playing the records that shaped him. All on vinyl. ⚡️💎⚡️

You may know the name & you might’ve even seen him on TV, but in this session we got to really connect, share laughs, music & stories.
