Yesterday, we celebrated 8 years of Lutunji’s Palate! 🎉💜 Partnering w/VP and Councilmember @jamalosmanmn and team is always the right move! In partnership with Planting People Growing Justice Leadership Institute and Elliot Park Recreation Center, we provided drawstring backpacks and school supplies to our next generation of leaders. 📚🎒 With that, a very special thank you to Brother Glorius L. Martin aka DJ Huh? What?? for taking my call while he and his beautiful family were headed to church, and for connecting with @roosevelt mansfield aka @djdigie , who turned the atmosphere ALL the way up! 🔥 A huge thank you to MsQueen Stephenson for line dancing us into community and bringing community elder Kevin out to make us MOVE! 💃🏾🕺🏾 Desdamona Ross….listen here, MC of the day-THANK YOU for keeping us focused!😇 Chef Jamallllllll! The sambusas, fry bread, and island slaw (the best way I can explain it 😂) created an immediate community bond. ❤️ Brother Ibrahim, my thank-yous to you are endless. 🙏🏾 To Zeibart, RSEDEN, Catholic Charities, Trautmann Law, League of Women Voters, Elliot Park Recreation Center, The Legal Rights Center, Greenrock Apartments, Council for Minnesotans of African Heritage, Minneapolis African American Professional Firefighters Association (MAAPFA), @black_business_enterprises , Planting People Growing Justice, Elliot Park United–North Central University, and Assemblies of God @THANK YOU for your authentic partnership, purpose, and purity. Your presence and commitment to community matter. To our performers — many thanks for laying it DOWN! 🎶🔥 We are super grateful that each of you will share how beautiful this event was with your networks. And to the LP Team — TODAY, y’all showed UP and OUT! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 It is my hope that you’ll continue to share the beauty, joy, and impact of this event with others. Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU! 💜 Eight years of Lutunji’s Palate — and we’re still building, still connecting, still creating, and still pouring into community. What a blessing. What a celebration. What a beautiful day. 🙏🏾✨
