One year + One day married. 🤍

I realised I never actually posted our wedding film, so I thought our first anniversary was probably a good time to finally share it.

Thank you to all our vendors, family and friends for making that day as special as it was! It wouldn't of been as beautiful without you all!

07.10.25 was one of the best days of my life. It was full of laughter, joy, celebration, family, friends and so many memories that I'll always be grateful for.

But when I think about the beginning of our marriage, I actually think a lot about the day after.

08.10.25 -

I remember waking up and seeing my wife sleeping soundly next to me. I remember looking up at the ceiling and looking around the room and just thinking about how quiet and surreal everything felt.

The day before had been so full of everything. People, photos, speeches, music, laughter, celebration.

And then suddenly, it was just us.

The wedding was over, but our life together had actually started.

It was our first breakfast together as husband and wife.

Our first time going home together.
Our first time telling people, “We're married.”
Our first ordinary day together.

And I remember feeling a mixture of gratitude and excitement.

Grateful for everything that had just happened, but excited for everything that was still ahead of us.

It was such a strange feeling being somewhere between one of the best days of our lives and going back to normal life.. but now normal life was different.

I had my wife with me.

The wedding was one day.
Marriage is all the days after.

It's the breakfasts, the drives, the random conversations, going home together, making plans, figuring things out, getting through difficult days and just doing life together.

A year later, we've had a lot of those ordinary days.

And I'm really grateful for them because it's another day spent with you by my side.

So while 07.10.25 will always be the day I married you, 08.10.25 will always be the day I realised that the ordinary could be just as special and that the day after is just as special of the day of.

One year of marriage, Sam.

I'm grateful I get to do life with you until death do us part and eternity begins.
