“.....and though you don’t believe that they do, dreams do come true!”
~Stevie Wonder

I’ve never given up on my dream of being an actor, and praise God, it’s still what I get to do. Don’t quit before the blessing!💜

In 2025, I found out what I was made of, which sounds crazy because once upon a time I had cancer. In December 2024, my brother passed. It was devastating for my entire family and me. Unlike cancer, there is no standard of care or protocol to follow when you lose someone you love.

When January 1st arrived, I stood on the edge of my pool and jumped in, a polar bear plunge of sorts with Keith, MaeLea, and my friend Lisandra. My brother and I decided a few years ago that we would do this plunge until the end of time.

I took that leap into our 40-degree pool and made a promise to my brother to keep going. I promised to get up every morning, no matter how tired, how lost, how sad, or how enraged I was (and listen, I had a lot of those days). I promised to get up and not waste a single second of my life!

To recap this year, I’m sharing some photos of me living my life, with grief by my side, experiencing a lot of joy. No matter how you started or finished this year, take a moment to reflect on something that you’re proud of. I’m proud that I accomplished more than I could have imagined! I’m ready for my next plunge and all that 2026 will bring!

Happy New Year! ✨

Did you receive any unexpected gifts or lessons in 2025? If so, what were they?

I’ve had my girls, now young women, home for the summer and we’ve been having a time! Enjoying lazy mornings with delicious coffee, eating fresh pickings from my garden, and having late-night conversations in our bed. As summer transitions to fall, I can’t help but think about all the times we’ve had and places we have traveled.

We had the good fortune of spending the last few days at Disneyland and California Adventure, and my heart is full.✨

They humored me by recreating a photo we took in the days of yore! Ha!!

I spent the weekend with the family and framily at my very first Comic Con!!💥 @comic_con

What a weekend! I finally understand why folks put SO much effort into going. It’s a celebration of diversity in all forms. Everyone is welcome, which means I’m all in!

Let’s talk about the convention floor… I was both blown away and overwhelmed by the number of people there! I had to take a deep breath and figure out how to experience what felt so unfamiliar to me. So, to ground myself, I decided to “Waldo it”, meaning look for images, storytellers, and networks of my youth (along with the Waldos of my kids’ youth). I ran into some gracious folk who let me take pictures beside them that invoked memories of some incredible seasons of my life. I’ll be grinning all week because I surprised myself. I had such a liberating few days!

If I post without grinning, please DM me and say, “Girl, you’re blessed!”. 😌

We finally made it to Singapore, after months of planning and a much-needed break. Y’all know how proud and thankful I am for my family, so we celebrated all the things! (We missed you, @boogie_man_productions!)

One thing I’ve always appreciated about us is that we don’t need a crowd to have a good time. All we need is each other and a little sunshine… even if it was hotter than the dickens!

On top of celebrating all the things, Keith managed to steal me away for a date night and we even got to catch up with a couple of friends!

Grateful. Rested. Full.

❤️🇸🇬
