🥈 AGE? BELT? WEIGHT CLASS? STEVE KING SAID, “JUST LET ME COMPETE.” 🔥

Huge congratulations to Steve King for an incredible performance at Sunday’s Grappling X tournament!

Steve entered as a 46-year-old ultra-heavyweight white belt, ready to compete… except nobody signed up in his age, weight, and belt division.

So what did Steve do? He asked to move up to BLUE BELT. 👊

Still no match.

His solution? Move into the 30–39-year-old blue belt division. That meant taking on competitors more than a decade younger AND an entire belt level above him.

Steve didn’t just step onto the mat with them. He battled his way to a SILVER MEDAL! 🥈🔥

And judging by the podium photo, at least one younger blue belt wasn’t exactly thrilled about getting beaten by the 46-year-old white belt. 😂😬

That’s what competing is all about. No excuses. No searching for an easy bracket. Just step up, test yourself, and represent.

Steve represented Outlier’s Jiu-Jitsu BIG TIME. We couldn’t be prouder! 💪🥋

Want to see what you’re capable of? Come train with us at Outlier’s Jiu-Jitsu. Beginners are always welcome!

Coach Joe stepped in for Professor Jeremy this week and tonight he brought the heat! 🔥

Tonight's 6:15 PM Gi class focused on spider guard, working through multiple variations and some slick sweeps that had everyone thinking a few moves ahead. After drilling, the room came alive with energetic rounds and plenty of great training.

A huge Outlier's welcome to Ricky, who joined us for his very first class tonight! 👊 We're glad you hit the mats with us and can't wait to see your jiu-jitsu journey unfold.

If you've been thinking about trying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, there's no better time. Come see what makes the Outlier's family so special!

Shout-out to my oldest Son who’s been promoted TWICE in a short time. I’m so proud of him for his commitment and dedication to something that pushes you to your limits regularly, training three times a week, for almost two years now. He’ll also be joining me to compete in his first tournament in a few weeks! Keep being awesome bud. 🙂 Thank you to @outliers619 for being an amazing place to come and train and call home with a great group of people who have begun to feel like family. 🤙
