FULL LINEUP // THURSDAY 22ND OCTOBER Another Thursday at Phonox, bringing together three selectors from different corners of the UK underground. From stripped-back house and techno to jungle, footwork, baile funk and bass-heavy club sounds, we’ve got plenty in store this week. PALEMAN // BUCKFAST BARBIE // DJELLEY 22.10.26 // PHONOX, BRIXTON 22:30–04:00 TICKETS VIA RA INSOMNIA. BUCKFAST BARBIE //// Straight out of Edinburgh’s Cowgate scene, Buckfast Barbie brings a chaotic mix of Latin bass, dubstep, baile funk, footwork and the occasional donk. Co-organiser of Import and a familiar face at Sneaky Pete’s, she’s supported the likes of Miss Bashful, GFOTY, Jialing and Joker. Her newest breakout tune ‘Control’ incorporates inspirations from juke and footwork from their midwest background with sounds from the UK club sphere and cartoon samples. Playful and high energy this track is a caffeinated drum workout. 22.10.26 // PHONOX TICKETS VIA RA DJELLEY //// Our longest-standing INSOMNIA resident and one half of Memory Muscle, DJelley is a multi-genre selector who’s played fabric, Corsica Studios, E1 and Phonox. Having supported the likes of Tim Reaper, Jeremy Sylvester, Roska and Oneman, he brings years of experience and a record collection that refuses to stick to one genre. 22.10.26 // PHONOX TICKETS VIA RA

UK GARAGE PIONEER JEREMY SYLVESTER IS COMING TO VENUE MOT. One of the most influential figures in UK garage, with over three decades of productions, remixes and records that helped shape the sound of British dance music. From the golden era of UKG to the underground dancefloors of today, his influence runs through generations of selectors and producers. This Thursday, we’re bringing him to an intimate London garage for THE CURE TO INSOMNIA, alongside Autonomy LDN and a one-off immersive installation. 15 OCTOBER. VENUE MOT. 11PM–4AM. TICKETS VIA RA. INSOMNIA x AUTONOMY THE FULL LINEUP IS HERE. Joining Jeremy Sylvester at Venue MOT this Thursday: We’re also welcoming two emerging DJs selected through our community mix open call, giving artists from our own Thursday Crew the opportunity to share the lineup. We received so many submissions, and it’s been amazing discovering the talent within our own community. We’re so excited to welcome WHO IS TEEKAY? and ROBYN MAIE to the lineup. This is exactly what we want to keep building with Insomnia: a space where our community isn’t just on the dancefloor, but behind the decks too. THE CURE TO INSOMNIA THURSDAY 15 OCTOBER VENUE MOT | 11PM–4AM A LITTLE PIECE OF UK GARAGE HISTORY. Released in 1997 under his G.O.D. alias, Watch Ya Bass Bins is one of Jeremy Sylvester’s standout contributions to the speed garage era. Built around heavyweight basslines, chopped-up rhythms and that unmistakable ’90s garage swing, the track captures the raw energy of the underground UK club scene. Nearly 30 years later, it’s a reminder of just how influential those early garage productions were in shaping the bass-heavy sounds we hear on dancefloors today. The man behind it is joining us at Venue MOT this Thursday. 🖤 AN UNDERGROUND HERO. THEN AND NOW. In 2022, Jeremy Sylvester was recognised with DJ Mag’s Underground Hero award, celebrating his contribution to UK dance music. With over three decades in the industry, his influence stretches from the early days of speed garage and 2-step to the sounds shaping dancefloors today. Far from slowing down, Jeremy released his solo album Underground Hero in 2024, exploring garage, ho
