Djivan Schapira’s Lueur Console is featured in the September issue of ELLE Decoration UK, highlighting the quiet radiance of this sculptural work from the NovaForme collection.

Hand-cast resin plays with the transition from transparency to opacity creating an ethereal sense of depth. In its soft off-white tone, the console seems to hold light within its form thereby blurring the line between functional design and collectible art.

This is a distinctly contemporary expression of Schapira’s ongoing exploration of resin as both a sculptural medium and a vessel for light.

At the center of this vignette, currently on view at the gallery, lies Djivan Schapira’s Stellar Dial: Terre console, which brings together resin, bronze, and bleached rosewood in a distinctly futuristic language. The console hangs below Barron Claiborne’s evocative (Old) Orleans Before The Deluge (Triptych) #2, c. 2005. This work is part of the Brooklyn Museum’s permanent collection. The composition balances Schapira’s sculptural approach to collectible design with Claiborne’s richly symbolic photographic practice.

The vignette is completed by Schapira’s Orbit Occasional Table XV, Pia-Maria Raeder’s Sea Anemone Side Table, and a Todd Merrill Custom Originals swivel club chair in olive green crushed velvet with a brass base. Together, the works create a refined dialogue between art, craft, and the evolving language of contemporary collectible design.

A quiet meditation on light, atmosphere, and material, this painting by Aurel Basedow invites prolonged looking. First unveiled as part of our presentation at NOMAD Hamptons, the work is now on view in the gallery, where its luminous palette and layered surface continue to reveal new depths with each encounter.

Basedow’s paintings exist in a space between landscape and abstraction, drawing on memories of place while remaining intentionally open-ended. Through delicate shifts in color, texture, and gesture, he creates compositions that feel both expansive and deeply intimate.

Now on view at Todd Merrill Studio.

This is a luminous work that showcases Djivan’s groundbreaking approach to poured resin, where retro-futurist influences, vibrant color, and masterful craftsmanship come together in a one-of-a-kind design.

Our home was featured in @livingetcofficial , and looking through these pages reminds me that no beautiful home is ever created by one person alone.

I’m incredibly grateful to every artist, artisan, maker, and craftsman whose talent helped transform this house into a home. Every mural, every piece of furniture, every light fixture, every brushstroke, every handcrafted detail carries the heart of someone who poured their gift into this space.

Bruce believed in my vision from the very beginning.

He simply looked at me and said, “Make it yours.”

Together, we created a home filled with stories, memories, and so much love. A place that reflects not only who we are, but the incredible people whose artistry made it possible.

To the team at Livingetc, thank you for sharing our story. And to every artist who left a piece of themselves in these walls… thank you. This home is more beautiful because of you, and I’ll never stop being grateful for your work.🤍

With the NovaForme collection, contemporary designer Djivan Schapira continues his exploration of resin as both a sculptural medium and a vessel for light. Channeling the spirit of retrofuturism and Space Age design, Schapira’s latest works examine the interplay between transparency and opacity, color and reflection, and the poetic movement of light through form. Each piece embodies his mastery of craft—melding hand-cast resin with refined bronze inlay to create works that feel at once organic and architectural, nostalgic and forward-looking. Rounded silhouettes, luminous interiors, and tonal depth evoke a sense of quiet wonder, expanding the vocabulary of contemporary collectible design.

The Azura Coffee Table is a study in luminescence and depth. Crafted in a rich sapphire navy resin, the piece incorporates bronze inlays that trace the table’s soft curves, creating rhythmic continuity throughout. When illuminated from within, a turquoise hue emerges, filling the internal void with radiant energy and transforming the table into a living sculpture. Azura captures the essence of light’s fluidity—its power to both reveal and conceal.

Todd Merrill Studio is pleased to announce its representation of Los Angeles–based sculptural furniture and architectural designer Amir Habibabadi.

Working at the intersection of art, architecture, and advanced fabrication, Habibabadi creates collectible design that transforms functional objects into sculptural forms. Informed by his background in architecture and emerging technologies, his practice combines parametric design, digital innovation, and exceptional craftsmanship to produce works that feel at once fluid, dynamic, and timeless.

Inspired by the movement of smoke, water, wind, and the human body, Habibabadi’s work captures a sense of suspended motion through exquisitely hand-carved wood and meticulously crafted finishes. Each piece balances technical precision with organic expression, blurring the boundaries between furniture, sculpture, and architecture.

In collaboration with Todd Merrill Studio, Habibabadi is creating an exclusive collection of custom works available only through the gallery, including his signature hand-carved wooden cabinets as well as bespoke interior architectural elements—from doors and bannisters to staircases and other site-specific commissions.

We are honored to welcome Amir Habibabadi to the gallery and look forward to sharing this exciting new body of work.
