Alabama Shakes - I Must Be Dreaming - OUT NOW. Incredible time working with these amazing people. Even when I was borderline pneumonia and getting sketchy intravenous vitamin transfers on the studio couch from a “doctor”. I love you Alabama Shakes!! Thanks Christine and Kevin and Lysee!!!

Happy @alabama_shakes Day! This release feels personal for me in so many ways. I discovered Alabama Shakes back in 2012 while attending a Jack White show by myself at Roseland Ballroom. Those that know me know that Jack is my # 1 so I deliberately got there early cause I knew he would have an amazing hand-selected opening act. I was not disappointed!! Discovering a band live for the first time, via one of your favorite musicians, while at a concert solo .. for all of these reasons their music is very personal and important to me. I also remember seeing them a few years later at Terminal 5 with my sister @emmlifton and it felt like a defining moment for when we were able to begin a true friendship that could exist because we wanted it to and not because we had to. Fast forward to 2014 when I am just beginning to manage @pawnpawntbp and he is already a couple weeks into the making of Sound & Color… negotiating this deal was one of my first as a producer manager. And thank god it was none other than @djkevmo and @cstauder (shout out @salter71 and @atorecords ) on the other side! That record ended up being Shawn’s first Grammy! Here we are over 10 years later and I am so so so honored to have played the teeniest tiniest role in helping this album get made. I love Alabama Shakes with my whole heart and I love this record. Shawn and the Shakes go together like summer and sunshine. Happy release day! ❤️🩵❤️

It’s been a long road getting here (actually 11.5 years) and we’re so grateful to finally share these songs with you. We didn’t know what this record was going to become when we started making it. We went in a room together, followed the songs, and let it happen. The album reflects what’s going on in our lives right now, and there’s truth in all these songs.

There’s a double meaning to the album title, ‘I must be dreaming, because the world is so fucking crazy right now’ but also, ‘I must be dreaming, because the world is so incredibly beautiful.’ We believe both can be true at once.

There are so many people who made this album possible, most importantly our amazing partners and families. We have been gone a lot the last few years and they have been our constants. Thank you @pawnpawntbp for bringing your magic to this album. Thanks to everyone who played on and worked on this album and thanks to our team for working tirelessly on our behalf. We love you all. Lastly thank you for listening and for sticking with us all these years. These last two years have been so magical for us.

This one means a lot. I Must Be Dreaming is out everywhere now.
