Caught myself for a split second wanting to cringe at this part… then realized that’s kind of the whole lesson.

I’ve been learning that not everything needs to be polished. Sometimes you wobble, laugh at yourself, and keep going.

Turns out that’s a pretty good way to move through life too.

People think I’m confident.

I used to hide behind jokes like, “It’s the tism,” or, “It’s the trauma.”

But the truth is… I’m genuinely happy with who I am.
That didn’t happen overnight. It came from questioning old agreements like, “I’m disgusting,” or, “I’m shameful,” and replacing them with, I am brave. Because I am brave and so are you.

The dancefloor gave me a place to practice being fully myself. Wherever you’re at, you’re welcome there too.
