In preparation for tonight’s event @mezzanineldn , we’ve been showing you our top picks of a few of the styles we’re gonna be playing!

1: Nothings Gonna Stop Me - DJ C-BIT - Ford Heights, IL. Leo Collins Jr. flips Cissy Houston's “Nothing Can Stop Me” into a soulful crowd pleaser. Twenty years of DJing and his trax still have yer feet tapping.

2: Bounce - DJ Clent - Block party classic from the south side of Chicago, this is one for the footworkers 🫵

3: In Da Morning - DJ Manny - Teklife affiliate, dancer turned producer - DJ Manny's catalogue places him firmly in the footwork hall of fame 🏆

4: Bang'n On King Dr. - RP Boo - Produced specially for the Bud Billiken parade on Martin Luther King Drive, shouting out landmark streets on the Southside of Chicago - footwork founder RP Boo pays homage with his music video.

5: Ghost - DJ Rashad - A deep cut from the legendary DJ Rashad (RIP) 🕊️

6: Pink 22 (DJ Phil Remix) - Scratcha DVA feat. Clara Le San - Remixing Uk based producer Scratch DVA’s “Pink 22”, DJ Phil’s spin brings this track to life!

7: I Want U to Ghost - Traxman - Traxman has been constantly pumping out killer tracks since the early ‘90s and this tune is a great example of why he’s one of the GOATS 🐐

8: Do4luv (Passing Me By) - Gunjack - Who doesn’t love Bobby Caldwell’s classic “What You Won't Do for Love” and from the many remixes we’ve heard, Gunjack’s version is a standout

9: Lethal (ft. DJ Paypal) - DJ Mastercard - Using the same sample as Rufige Cru’s “Menace”, Mastercard & Paypal’s sampling is rich. Picking between this and "Timeflys" off the same release was a tough one.

10: Skkrtt - DJ Orange Julius - A beautiful track that makes you feel like you're floating, yet still hits heavy where it needs to. SKKRTTTTTT 🏎️

Our mix series returns with mix number 120 by @aariellenyc! Arielle Lana a New York City native, music journalist, DJ, and founder of label, event series and platform @headsknownyc . From Maracaibo, the hottest city in Venezuela, @wataratraxx is a 23 year old DJ and producer who’s inspired by juke music, hot Latin flavours and the sound of the streets in all contexts. For this mix, he delivers a warm selection with tracks from juke artists across the world.

In the near future, you can expect to see a few of the surprises Watara has up his sleeve with many more hot tracks in the pipeline and releasing soon.
