Love to be... Festival. Three out of three now and this one was 11 out of 10. 100% the best one yet.

I genuinely didn’t know how they could raise the bar again, but somehow they did.

This summer there have been more gigs away from home than ever for the Mister Jones project and playing in new places to new people is always special.

But there is nothing quite like a hometown gig like this.

Looking out and seeing people I went to school with, old friends, friends of friends and so many familiar faces all supporting and championing what I’m doing genuinely means a lot.

Especially when Claptone is smashing the Stray Stage and Gok Wan is playing the Music Factory tent! Had I not been playing, I’d have wanted to watch them myself. So seeing so many people in front of me bringing that energy and support gave me a massive boost.

The whole day was a joy.

Julie McKnight is a true legend. Her vocal on Finally is genuinely my favourite vocal of all time in House Music, so to see her perform it live once again and have a little chat afterwards was very special. Diamond Life is right up there for me too 🫶🏻

Mousse T is a huge inspiration of mine. I’ve fortunately met him before and absolutely love how humble he is and the energy he brings to everything he does. His music is always featured in my sets, so it’s always a joy seeing him play and great to catch up again too.

Jet Boot Jack and I have been chatting for a few years now and I’ve been playing his tunes in loads of my sets, so it was great to finally meet properly in person. Pretty cool too that he was the DJ I was passing the decks over to.

And a massive shout out to Mat Row, who flew all the way from San Diego to join us. What a guy. I absolutely love that.

Honestly, I could keep going.

Big love to every single person who came and brought their positive energy, to the whole Love to be... team for delivering a top-tier event and to every artist who played their part.

Hometown gigs of this scale are very, very special.

Honoured to be involved once again ❤️
