Happy International Woman’s Day A big shout out to all the strong women out there. We have got your back. We take courage from our grandmother’s resilience and see it reborn in our mothers, sisters and daughters. It does not escape our notice that this Rosie the Riveter poster has Ukranian Blue and Yellow in the background, so seems the perfect image to represent tough mothers, hard workers, teachers, doctors, nurses, community volunteers, business owners and empathetic leaders. Ladies, we cannot do it all, but we try. We cannot be in two places at once, but we prepare in advance. We cannot be who we are without the love of our girl-friends, families, our husbands, partners, fathers and sons. There is a saying which says, “Like a teabag, you don’t know how strong you are until you find yourself in hot water.” We raise our tea cups to all you gals out there. And I raise mine to those who have made a dramatic impact on my life, women I admire and respect enormously and give me the courage to aspire to be the best I can be: Denise May MBE; Jacquie Marsh; Sarah Penny; Zelda Petvin; Fionagh Harding; My Mum; Annie Creo; Karen Neish-Munro; Sarah Murray; Kim Gouldson; Catherine Appleton; Lisa Carpenter; Jaine McKenzie; Mel Bardsley; Steph Clark; Denise Vickery; Lynne Holehouse, Lynn Green, Naomi Hatcher. just to mention a few. These women raise me up. We must never tear each other down. Happy International Woman’s Day ladies. You deserve this. #internationalwomensday
