Winning an award at the Trillvision Film Festival for Working With the Hands had an emotional effect on me that I wasn’t expecting. As I stood there receiving that award, I couldn’t help but think about all of the talented car builders and friends who passed away while I was making this documentary—Joe Ellis, Gary May, Terry Carter, Homer Walthers, Ted Wells, Kahan, and others who helped build the culture and paved the way for generations behind them. That’s why this award meant so much more to me than just winning. Working With the Hands was created to document a history that I watched, lived, and participated in for decades. It was also created so the names, stories, skills, businesses, cars, motorcycles, and contributions of these builders would not be forgotten. Some of the people I started this journey with didn’t get a chance to see the finished documentary or witness where it would go. So when they called my name at Trillvision, I felt like that award belonged to all of us. 🏆 This one was for the builders we lost. Their hands helped build the culture. Their stories deserve to live forever. — TJ Loftin Working With the Hands Documentary OurStory, Not History. #tjloftin #workingwiththehandsdocumentary #trillvision #bestsellingauthor #classiccars

Since transitioning to screen #acting , I've encountered a lot of dope people. You'll always find em at the Indie Night Film Festival. Ran into Author, director, actress, dancer, @jossieharris Harris and "Girlfriend", actress Golden Brooks @therealgolden47 , who was absolutely amazing. She dropped some serious nuggets that encouraged me forward in this acting thing. My biggest cheerleader, MOM, @xx_joysaulsberry came out to support as well (love you ,Mommy). Congratulations and thanks again to the boss lady @staciemcclam, for bringing me on board and @rodneydamoncollins for the recommend. Props to @davebrownusa for this platform that allowed it all to happen. #actor #blessed #grateful @Indienightff #HISglory
