🍓 Heat Rock on Toast 🍓 Ladies and gentlemen… Strawberry Jammers… It is an honour, after 9 long years since his first time in Cyprus… Allow us to reintroduce to you, the one and only @HEATROCKONE 🫀 In this post you will find throwbacks from his first time in Cyprus in 2017, at the first Strawberry Get Down. (The first ever Strawberry Jam battle) He judged and also had an exhibition battle with Sharky (now known as @zyro_bsk), and of course, connected with the local community on a deep level. (Which is always our goal with the people we bring) Heat Rock is also one of the funniest guys you’ll ever meet 😂 He makes the funniest skits about the scene 🤣 Last, but definitely not least, Heat Rock is an incredible artist. You can check all of his work at his artist profile @ivancofield 🎨 He made an insane painting for @thereddreadhousehead a while ago which is meaningful enough for us to share here since both of them will be present in October! 🫀 And let’s not forget… Heat Rock is the artist behind the iconic Strawberry Jam boombox which became our logo. Hand drawn and painted with acrylic paint. 🎨 We can’t wait to have Heat Rock back to Cyprus to connect and build one more time! 🥳

36 days later… That’s how long it took me to put this post together 😂 But inspired by sister @bozrna’s post last week, it was just the push I needed to finally create mine as well haha. What can I say, @funkfusionjam was really special this year. I was there last year as well as a competitor… and boy the growth this jam had in just 1 year… still insane for me to think about. Only 2 years in this organising game @aris_zafeir & @bingo_wvmts and to pull this off the way they did is definitely not easy. And since I’ve been taught to “give props where props are due” and simultaneously learning that there are “no easy props”… Well, I think you get it. Much love and respect to them for what they’re aiming to create in the Greek/Athenian scene. Something that’s missing and been missing for a while now, at least from my point of view. (But don’t take me too seriously, who am I anyway) Both in terms of vibe, and quality, but also in terms of organisation, the schedule being pretty on point, and so much more. The care and heart they put into this jam can definitely be felt. This year I’ve been invited to DJ for the party and the main event/battles/cyphers, etc. It was a huge honour and a blessing for me to be able to do this alongside my brother from another mother @amazemeone 🙏🏼🍓🎶 We’ve been doing this together for quite a long time now through @strawberry_jam_cy so the chemistry and connection I must say is impeccable! 🍓🚀 It was my first time spinning for an international jam and I wanted to bring some freshness in the game. Something important and very meaningful to me was when I got to play @scaarmander’s track in one of the battles. Bringing Cyprus 🇨🇾 to the international scene in another way, apart from repping in jams etc. I felt the same way for @djrawkuts and @detro.mc track I also played. Definitely still a lot for me to learn, there’s so much depth in this art form, it gives me so much inspiration to keep learning and getting better! 😤 So thankful for this journey and all it’s teaching me. 🙏🏼 Lastly, if you’ve been thinking about coming to FFJ, I highly recommend it! Thank you to all the amazing people I connected with. ✨

4 cyphers at the same time in Cyprus?! 😱 Yup. Without the cypher, there would be no competition. ⭕️ Cypher is the root of Breaking and Hip Hop culture. And we’ve made sure to set the environment just right for those cyphers to organically come to life. And in 2 weeks, we’ll be doing exactly that, and then some. 😎 Are you even ready?! Schedule, locations, workshops, and more coming tomorrow. 👀 Again… Are you even ready?! 👇🏼
