I walked out of a masterclass halfway through.
Not because it was bad. Because it broke me.

Friday at Fabric was my first time back in a room full of artists since Brighton. Since I found out about @harvey_mckay

I hadn’t really thought about it that morning. Got there, got into it. Then D.Ramirez started his madterclass session.

Seeing someone else’s process in real time — the way they move around a session, the decisions they make — it just hit different. It reminded me of Harvey. I had to leave.

No disrespect to Dean. Top guy. Knows his stuff. It just wasn’t something I could keep sitting with in that moment.

Then I spent the whole industry panel after it trying to hold it together. Genuinely hoping nobody in my row would turn and ask how I was doing. Because I would’ve been a mess.

Shoutout to Pete for the wee thumbs up at the end. You don’t always need words. That meant everything.

Grief doesn’t follow a schedule. It just shows up.

Drop a ❤️ if it’s ever hit you somewhere you didn’t expect.

4am alarm. Tube strike. One track. What a moment.

Bag drop before sunrise.
First coffee in the dark.
Then the strike hit.
Dead legs. Heavy bag. Routes I had never walked.
But I made it to Fabric.
Toolroom Crossfader conference.
Great place. Great panels. Great people.
What a day. Such motivation.
Then I was up at 1:30am to travel back up.
Phone rang.
Overtime call on the way home.
Said yes. Obviously.
Nice N Sleazy next.
Dark Protocol Collective. Insane lineup.
Here is the part nobody talks about.
The music doesn’t stop.
It does not care about your commute.
You show up. You smile. You keep dancing.
Then it happened.
My track dropped.
Packed floor. Hands up. No gaps anywhere.
That moment right there.
That is the only reason the 4am alarm makes sense.
That is why you do all of it.
