POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

With irresistible floor-fillers like “Boot n Soul” and the title track, Bring Back the Weekend by Santa Cruz, CA’s sensational soul stompers @theinciters has been hailed as the best full length of the band’s career of over 30 years!

The band poured all their effort into making this album capture the energy of their live shows in a way that no previous studio effort had, and the results speak for themselves. It’s no wonder @piratespressrecords have had to back to the presses for more vinyl copies to keep up with demand!

The new pressing of Bring Back the Weekend on 12” Zombie Brain Marble Vinyl is available now from the PPR webstore!

The Inciters are just about to embark on this year’s edition of @floggingmolly’s Salty Dog Cruise - @floggingmollycruise - so if you’re on the boat, make sure you catch their electrifying sets of Northern Soul!

Hello friends! Today, we want to help kick off your weekend with something that'll make you feel alright...courtesy of Santa Cruz’s sensational soul stompers, @theinciters! The band recently made a wonderful DIY video for their song "I'm Alright," edited by @detourdan of @workingclassradio! It's guaranteed to make you smile! You can check out the whole video now on YouTube!

This tune comes from the band's latest EP I Give You My Soul, which just recently celebrated its one year anniversary! It features lead vocals by singer Sabina Bukovec Kendrick.

As is traditional with Northern Soul bands, The Inciters are no strangers to putting their own stamp on cover songs, but this time around, the source material comes from closer to home than a sought-after 45 from the 60s..."I'm Alright" was originated by Sabi's streetpunk band Custom Fit AKA @thefit_831...now re-imagined for the soul set!

The I Give You My Soul EP is available from the @piratespressrecords webstore on Classic Black Vinyl and Bone Vinyl with Oxblood Splatter...and each variant has a different colored jacket to match the vinyl!

Watch out for The Inciters coming to @alexsbarlbc in Long Beach, CA for @a100sband's record release show on 07/19/2026, and in October on @floggingmolly's Salty Dog Cruise - @floggingmollycruise!

Happy Anniversary to this unique single by Santa Cruz's sensational soul stompers @theinciters! The single version of “Bring Back the Weekend” & its B-side “If I Could Only Be Sure,” were released one year ago this past weekend as a special 7” + comic book package from Pirates Press Records! The music is of course also available on all major streaming sites & Bandcamp, as well!

The A-side is an alternate recording of the title track from their acclaimed 2023 full length Bring Back the Weekend, exclusive to this 7", and on the B-side, the combo put their unmistakable stamp on Nolan Porter's 1972 Northern Soul classic, "If I Could Only Be Sure."

Not only that, when you buy the single on 7” colored vinyl, it comes with a special edition 12-page full-color comic book companion, with the lyrics to the A-side represented in vibrant illustrations courtesy of tattoo artist @strykertattoo in collaboration with the band!

You can also head over to YouTube to check out the music video by @generationxrayrecords, which incorporates footage of the band playing with art from the comic!

It's truly a collaborative multimedia experience that immerses you in a world of scooters, boots, suits, mod dresses, and slamming soul weekenders you wish would never end - the electrifying world of The Inciters!

Since this release, The Inciters have released the acclaimed 5-song EP I Give You My Soul and have continued to be an in-demand live act both at home in California and all over Europe!

Coming up in 2026 for this unstoppable combo is a trip to the UK in May, and a voyage on @floggingmolly's Salty Dog Cruise (@floggingmollycruise) in October! Head to the band's official website for more info and ticket links!

a prominent and consistent theme of last night’s fest was FUCK ICE/FUCK TRUMP. The bands spoke on it, the crowd chanted it. Of particular note, @djsoulciter5446 in his diy FUCK ICE tshirt.
One of the most potent acts of resistance is communal joy. Raging and raising the roof. Last night wasnt just a music fest, it was everything the enemy hates and wants to destroy. Women stepping tf up into the spotlight and rocking the house, and the house feeling the empowering spirit of solidarity. And that is our most powerful weapon against them.
