This month, Florida Realtor Magazine is telling a piece of that story. “From newcomer to neighborhood expert” feels especially fitting. DJ’s success didn’t come from trying to be everything to everyone. It came from making the decision to go deep. To become part of the fabric of Historic Kenwood. To show up again and again. To build relationships before transactions. To champion his community. And, most importantly, to do it all in a way that has always been authentically DJ. There’s a line in the article that sums it up beautifully: “If you’re not yourself, your people won’t find you.” That philosophy has helped turn the DJ Soucy Group - Compass St Pete into what it is today. But what makes me proudest isn’t simply the production, the growth, or the recognition. It’s watching someone build success without losing sight of who they are and what they care about along the way. Coaching is a strange privilege. You get invited into the conversations behind the accomplishments. You see the doubts, the decisions, the pivots, the risks, the frustrating seasons, and all the seemingly small choices that eventually compound into something other people call “success.” For nine years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside DJ through those conversations.
