L & N’s wedding day felt like stepping into a celebration that was equal parts emotional, joyful, and unapologetically them.

The day began at The Cookery, where both of them spent the morning getting ready surrounded by the people who know and love them best. There was such an ease to the entire day — laughter echoing through the rooms, happy tears being wiped away between hugs, and the kind of anticipation that makes every moment feel meaningful.

And then came their vows.
The kind of vows that quiet an entire room. The kind that leave tears in the eyes of every guest listening because you can feel just how deeply two people love each other. There truly was not a dry eye in sight as L & N promised forever to one another.

As the sun softened into golden hour, we wandered through Durham capturing portraits that felt straight out of a movie. Between the flowers, the rooftop views, and running through the streets together, every moment reflected the joy and friendship at the center of their relationship. Nothing forced — just the two of them fully soaking in the first moments of married life.

And somehow the reception only became more fun from there. A dance floor packed all night long, plenty of cake shared between friends, and temporary tattoos of their cats that may have stolen the show entirely. Every detail felt intentional, personal, and full of heart.
L & N created a wedding day that perfectly reflected who they are: deeply loving, wildly fun, and surrounded by the people who matter most.

I’ve lived next door to @thecottonroom for the better part of a decade but, somehow, weddings here seemed to always slip past me. So I was super stoked to finally have the opportunity with Shelley & Erik. With the Eastern Redbuds in peak bloom, plenty of pie for Pi day, and two of the most genuine people clearly having the time of their lives, it was a joy to kick off the season with these two.

Stefanie and Justin's wedding day was a beautiful break from the weather we've been having. After weeks of cold, ice, snow, and rain, we were treated to a gorgeous, sunny 60-degree day.

She set up all of the decor, made sure the wedding day ran smoothly, and ensured everything got back to the appropriate vehicle when the event was over, which was such a huge help to my family.

We all felt like we could really soak in the moment with Alyson taking care of all the details! She also did a great job ensuring all of our vendors had timelines for arrival and departure. I’m sure there was more behind the scenes work that I’m not giving her credit for!
