Lubo aka DJ Strain has been playing since the year 2000ad, initially on two and now on three turntables after years of music
digitisation. He loved to play anything from chill, deep house & organic rhythms through funky, jazzy up to tech- house & club techno.
His first regular gigs were in the legendary club Roxy in Prague, followed by a 10yr residency in Karlovy Lazne club, commanding space and playing on his very own Chillout floor.

Strain has also competed in the DJ Masters series and hosted radio shows on Bonton Radio DeeJay & Danceradio.cz.

His wealth of talent and experience has taken him to some of Prague's most popular nightspots including long-running, simultaneous residencies at Roxy, Karlovy Lazne, Mecca club Prague, OneClub and he's been resident at Vinyl Bar Prague since 2018.

Along with partner in rhyme ThM DJ, Strain has been a regular visitor to Ibiza for the past few years where they've held a residency at Kumharas and guested at Café Del Mar, Space Eat&Dance, Plastik and on Ibiza Sonica Radio.

I'm really looking forward to hosting these two incredible talents for our winter opening party at Las Dalias this week; we're gonna be turning the party UP from 9pm together, so make sure you're there to enjoy!

"For over twenty years I’ve let my record collection do the talking. What started as a passion for digging vinyl has evolved into a two-decade journey of blending organic, deep, and melodic house music into captivating sets. I’ve never stuck to just one lane—my musical journey includes playing alongside live bands, hosting radio shows, making live-streams, creating brands and curating private and big events."

It's a pleasure to welcome Thom to the cabin for his #IVC debut this week - along with @djstrain he's become a fave fixture on the Ibiza-Sound-Scene - not just for his DJ skills but also for enhancing the sound systems of many island venues that really needed a makeover, aka @forpeople.bydjs.

It's gonna be great to spin with these two for the Opening winter party at Las Dalias this week.

Is there a vinyl addict in your life?

FEAR NOT, help is at hand...

Starting on Thursday 22 Oct in the @lasdaliasibiza café, VAA (disguised as #IVC) is the new support network for everyone afflicted by this addiction.

It's a place where all vinyl addicts will be held in safety and guided through their mental and emotional processes, gently easing the pain that a lack of records throughout the week can bring.

Partners and families of 'VA's are also encouraged to join their loved ones on these journeys, and learn empathy for the deep love for plastic-based music playback that entirely cloaks a VA's world.

Entry is free to all, and a warm and open welcome will greet you upon arrival from community leader @Peacharoo with doors opening at 7pm.

The series of meetings also support Kisiwani Orphanage in Tanzania, aiding the Enhancement of their lives with the Power of Vinyl Music sales.

Booking for the meeting is not necessary and spaces are not limited...

However if you truly want to support the VA in your life, you'll contact Peach to arrange a personal encounter behind the OpenDecks, where you will be grateful and happy to see your VA in their element, spinning wax and sharing Vinyl Music.

And who knows...

Maybe one day you'll become a VA too 😜 nice one
