We All Win Las Vegas prediction

I’d put Desert Pines in the state championship conversation, but I wouldn’t call them the favorite yet.

Ceiling: State championship

Realistic expectation: State semifinal/final contender

The biggest question isn’t whether Tyler Merto can play. It’s whether the players around him can raise their level after losing McMorran.

And that’s what makes this season important for Nevada basketball: Tyler Merto represents another Las Vegas public-school player showing that Nevada talent can earn major Division I opportunities right here at home.

WE ALL WIN LAS VEGAS — when the kids win, Nevada wins. We All Win Las Vegas take

Capri Uzan is a name I’m watching closely this season.

He’s not just coaching at Desert Pines — he came through Desert Pines. That gives him a unique connection to the school, the players and the Las Vegas basketball community.

Now he has a talented group led by Tyler Merto, while having to replace the production of Aaron McMorran II. That’s a big coaching challenge, but it’s also an opportunity for Uzan to show what he can do as a young coach developing the next generation of Jaguars.

I really like the direction of this program.

Capri Uzan + Desert Pines + Las Vegas talent = a coach and program with a bright future.

WE ALL WIN LAS VEGAS 🏀 — Keep the Talent Home.

I keep meaning to give this quilt a permanent spot on my feed and two years later seemed like the right time. My brother has loved the Oakland A’s as long as I can remember and when he asked me to make him (my first ever) tshirt quilt I was scared. I let it sit forever mostly because I knew I didn’t want it to be just shirts and numbers. I decided to make the squares have a common denominator to make measurements easier and then added in some quilty blocks and I absolutely loooooove how it turned out. And now I want a hot dog in the bleachers. Go A’s.
