This Saturday, I will be releasing my new album, Preaching to the Choir!

This album is dedicated to strong people who acknowledge our weaknesses and know that we need reminders. Reminders of truth. Reminders of accountability. Reminders of our divine nature, and reminders of our true Source of life, light, and power. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey and everyone who will be.

Gratitude,
ALäZ

One year ago, the Otis Redding Center for the Arts opened its doors. 🎉

Since then, it’s been filled with music, creativity, and the next generation of artists.

And we’re celebrating the best way we know how! 🎶

Live performances from our incredibly talented students, guided Center tours, local vendors, food, games, prizes, and more - all happening April 11 from 11AM-4PM at the Zelma Redding Amphitheater!

If you joined us for the grand opening, you already know the energy.
If you didn’t… this is your moment.

Last year was unforgettable, and we can’t wait to do it again!

Bring the whole family, and spend a beautiful spring Saturday with us on the lawn. 💙🧡💚

🎓 TWO WEEKS AGO, We welcomed over 500 students to the FAMU Alumni FAMUly!

As Dakarai Williams walked across the stage at Florida A&M University’s Summer 2025 commencement, he carried more than a degree. The psychology major from Macon, Georgia, left behind a legacy of student leadership, strategic vision and campus unity.

Williams served as the 2024–2025 student body vice president and chair of the Homecoming Steering Committee — roles that placed him at the center of some of the university’s most pivotal moments. Whether overseeing large-scale programming or advocating for students behind the scenes, he remained focused on building connection and culture.

“Leadership at FAMU gave me more than a title — it taught me how to serve, how to manage pressure and how to stay grounded,” he said.
