Excited to announce Ella Hunt’s debut LP Blindspot and capsule merch collection, available now for pre order! All vinyl pre orders will come with a hand signed card from Ella 💌

Ella Hunt has spent much of her life becoming other people. As an actress, she is a professional shape-shifter, moving between 19th-century New England in Dickinson, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, and Horizon: An American Saga with a sense of practiced ease. But in her music, the mask slips. Her creative worlds feel closer than ever, folding into one another in ways that no longer require distinction.

The British actress and musician is on the cusp of a particularly charged moment. “I’m writing about my experience as an actress,” she explains. “Shape-shifting and the idea of being a person who can be lots of different things for people—that’s been a central theme in my music” - Read more in her interview with @ashotmagazine

Blindpsot will be released everywhere June 5th via @histficrecs

“If I got what I wanted, would I want the thing I got”

Recorded in Minneapolis only a few months after Bloodless sessions wrapped, “Cinder Block” finds @samiatheband directly weaving a long-time love of legendary songwriter Leonard Cohen into her lyricism. Here, she interpolates two classics, “Suzzane” and “Hallelujah,” singing “I’ve touched your perfect body with my mind” and “this is my Hallelujah.” All over a gentle electric guitar strum that anchors a song swelling with tender persistence and patient intensity.
