Another eventful day at the Berlinale Summer Special yesterday!
Here's a recap for you - just swipe through.

1.-2. The EFP Shooting Stars 2021 award ceremony was held at the Museum Island, with 8 out of the 10 talents, on a beautiful summer evening. German nominee Albrecht Schuch even dared a joyful leap on the red carpet.

3. We were happy to see so many team members of "I'm Your Man" (Ich bin dein Mensch) on stage after the ceremony as well. Fittingly, Maren Eggert was on site, as she was the patron of this year's EFP Shooting Stars. Next to her, you can spot producer Lisa Blumenberg, director Maria Schrader, and Berlinale artistic director Carlo Chatrian.

4. Following the screening of "I'm Your Man", the premiere "Natural Light" (Természetes fény) took place at this impressive location as well. You can see producers Marcell Gerő and Sára László on the red carpet.

5.-6. "Fabian - Going to the Dogs" (Fabian oder Der Gang vor die Hunde) was watched by an eager audience at Frischluftkino@Studentendorf, with actresses Petra Kalkutschke and Eva Medusa Gühne welcomed by Berlinale Special programme coordinator Wilhelm Faber on stage.

7. At HKW, Berlinale Forum presented "From Where They Stood" (À pas aveugles), written and directed by and with a performance from Christophe Cognet, onstage alongside producer Raphaël Pillosio.

8. At the official premiere of "Jesus Egon Christ" at Freilichtbühne Weißensee, screening in Perspektive Deutsches Kino, PDK section head Linda Söffker had the pleasure to talk to the talented brothers David and Saša Vajda, who wrote the script and directed as well as produced the film.

9.-10. At Freiluftkino Friedrichshain, the atmosphere became a little gloomy yesterday night, as Berlinale Panorama screened "Censor", a bloody ode to the aesthetics of horror films of the 1980s. Bartholomew Sammut, Panorama programme manager, had a chat with cinematographer Annika Summerson live on stage.

Fans of German films are in luck with @perspektivedeutscheskino! Opening tonight, this section will be screening five amazing films at Freiluftkino Hasenheide and selected Kiezkinos. And there are still tickets left for "Instructions For Survival" at Freiluftkino Friedrichshagen! Click the link in our bio and check out the cinema website for ticketing info.

Opening the programme tonight is "The Seed" (Die Saat), in which demoted site manager Rainer is fighting for survival and social justice while his daughter is forming a dangerous friendship. "Keep Moving" (In Bewegung Bleiben) is a historical documentary about dancers from the Komische Oper in the DDR traveling to the West.

"Instructions For Survival" focuses on the transgender man Alexander and his wife Mari who develop an emotional bond with Mari's unborn surrogate child. In "Jesus Egon Christus", Egon lives with a group of heroin addicts in withdrawal and talks to Jesus during sleepless nights. And "Wood and Water" tells the story of a mother reconnecting with her son and her own life in Hong Kong.
