Last night at HEIMAT, I was honored to have D’Lashes Lash & Wellness Spa sponsor lashes for Cancer Baddies—a community that means something deeply personal to me.

Amanda Hayman, our beautiful host and founder, created this community from her own desire to look and feel good after breast cancer. Honey, that desire to recognize yourself in the mirror again… I understand it. To feel beautiful, connected, and comfortable in your own skin matters.

Amanda and I initially connected through an ESSENCE article that featured us sharing our experiences with cold capping during chemotherapy, hoping to preserve our hair. That shared experience opened the door to a friendship that continues to bloom. 💗

There’s something so special about having a friend who understands parts of your story without needing every detail explained. The changes. The uncertainty. The desire to feel like YOU again.

Amanda, I wish breast cancer had never been part of either of our stories. But I am so grateful our paths crossed. Thank you for creating a space where we can bring our whole selves and find community.

Being able to give back through D’Lashes, with something so close to my heart, means more than I can put into words.
