The complex, multifaceted works by @dldawson are composed of used and found objects. Adding and subtracting to his multilayered surfaces, he carefully hones and treats the materials — for this show a stack of plaster covered cardboard boxes, topped with a found ball — making the sculpture appear weathered and marking the passage of time, while simultaneously revealing the apparent hand of the contemporary artist.
