The only thing better than taking some down time at our favorite spot in MT is bringing dear friends to our favorite spot for the first time! We had a lovely couple of days in Paradise Valley. The evidence of last years flooding was wild to see in person. Giant ponderosa pines that succumbed to the flood waters are hung up at the high water mark in equally large cotton woods along the Yellowstone river and look close to highway level. The erosion of the river banks was telling of the power of that flood. I wonder how many framing nails and pieces of window and insulation we will see over the next several years as we wander the banks of that river.
