Still thinking about the energy in the room. 💕

One of my favorite parts of this event was collaborating with Annisa from @outofthepastrecords . We met in Atlanta literally a month ago, and from the very beginning, the connection felt genuine. We came back to Chicago, stayed in touch, and instead of letting the conversation fade, we immediately found a way to build something together 💖

That’s exactly what Crate & Create is about.

You never know where one conversation, one introduction, or one genuine connection can lead. Community grows when people choose to show up, collaborate, and support each other.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so special. Whether we had a chance to talk or simply shared the same room, I hope you left with a new connection, a fresh idea, or the inspiration to keep creating.

This last year of my 20s feels exactly as it should - like a chapter closing. Someone from a past life once told me that I do a really good job at making it look like I’m having a good time. And don’t get me wrong, I am! But this year has shown me some of the most extreme highs and lows that I’ve ever experienced. In a time when I couldn’t clearly see myself, I pacified myself by seeing the world. But I had no idea that it would be the world who saw and received me with a clarity that constantly brings tears of gratitude to my eyes. This year felt WEIRD. But there was so much beauty in the mess. So when I think about what it looks like to close out this chapter, I’m confident that if I had to start all over I’d do it all again.

I’ve been around the world and back, but nothing brings me back home like the love that surrounds me. Thank you God for the constant reminder that the greatest joys in life live in the unknown. Cheers to another year of going where the wind blows 🥂

SXSW, but make it 2 A’s.

This year was different. Walking into SXSW as an official artist… not just hoping, not just dreaming, but being—it hit me in a way I don’t even fully have language for yet. In the midst of all the chaos, I realized: I asked for this. I worked for this. And now I’m living inside of it.

But what made it unforgettable wasn’t just the stage. It was who was standing around it.

My mommy. The woman who has seen every version of me and never once doubted that I’d become exactly who I am becoming. And my Urban Girls. My sister cats and mister cat. My safest place in human form.

I feel blessed to experience my best moments with people who know my heart and not just the highlight reel.

Every conversation, every performance, every dance break, every compliment and hug reminded me of my why. Why I keep going, even when it’s uncertain.

I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. Thank you Lord. Thank you Sx. Let me get a “2A’s”?!

This year’s One Up was truly something special; the energy in the theater just hit differently. I’m thankful for friends who always show up, and for family who volunteer their time to keep everything running smoothly.

We’re a small team with a big vision, and your support means more than you know. Bringing the community together to celebrate the art in our city is something we’ll never take lightly.

Everyone wanted to know what I was gonna do NEXT. The answer is whatever I want 🤭

NEXT is officially streaming and I’ve felt all of the love today. Thank you to everyone who has shared their ears and brain space with me. And an even bigger thank you to all of the people that helped make this project!

My sister @supa_xela engineered, mixed, and mastered every track! My favorite guys in the city @devystonez @shainehailey and @brandonfxrd gave me the best features bc who doesn’t love a rap/sung collaboration? HELLO??? @hrtbrkjnz @millimetoyer @sleepymic_ and @migimusic understood the assignment so bad. @jassihendrix you are a beast and Loose Ties would not be the QUEEN she is without your contribution. I love you guys so much! I love what we made.
