THE RUT TRACK CLASSIC | BZN, MT

Last May, a rad group bikers hand-built a slalom course, raced bikes, talked some shit, and put on the first annual Rut Track Classic by @telepathy.bikes.

But the real point of events like this is creating a place for folks to show up as they are. To spend time together, talk honestly, be vulnerable without making a production of it, and hold each other accountable when it matters.

No judgement. No posturing. Just good people making room for each other, one ride and one conversation at a time.

I’m grateful to everyone who helps make that possible, especially @kg___creative, who continues to be one of the most open, genuine, and solid dudes I know.

And this Saturday, it’s going down even bigger.

Double the people. Double the stoke. Double the track?

Yeah, that’s right…a quad-slalom.

The 8th Annual Beehive Banked Slalom is officially in the books, and my heart is full.

What started as a small gathering of friends with a shared love for snowboarding, community, and springtime turns has grown into something truly special. Year after year, this event continues to remind me why I do it — the people, smiles, energy, and the deep sense of community!

To everyone who came out to ride, cheer, volunteer, shovel, rake, build, sponsor, document, DJ, bbq, keep the vibes high, and help make this event happen: thank you. This event simply would not exist without all of you.

Watching every generation line up together, from first-timers to lifers, is what makes the Beehive Banked Slalom feel so special. We even had a family of 5 all show up and race this year, plus a huge crew from the Tetons.

To the "Digger Crew"— you are the backbone of this event and it simply couldn't happen without you. Your hard work made the weekend possible and I can't thank you enough.

To our sponsors — thank you for believing in grassroots snowboarding and helping us keep this event alive and thriving.

Eight years in, and it still feels as magical as the first.

We’re already dreaming about next year. We're doing a design/art contest for the event and everyone who submits art will be a part of a physical art show! Until then, keep supporting your local snowboard shop, and keep showing up for one another.

Roll out to the Inaugural Rut Track Classic "Dual Slalom" tomorrow, Saturday, May 2nd.

I've been wanting to do something similar to the Beehive Banked Slalom, but on bikes for a couple years now, so here we go.

12pm-3:30pm - dig, ride-in, practice
4pm - Racin

BBQ - Bonfire - BS

It’s hard to put this one into words. The 8th Annual Beehive Banked Slalom had 124 racers this year, but it felt like so much more than a race. It felt like our community coming together in the name of snowboarding in its purest and most simple form. Some turns, a mini pipe, a QP, no lift tickets, no entry fee, and no barrier to entry other than walking out there. Seeing everyone there—friends, families, new faces, OG's, first timers—reminds me why this event is so special.

A huge thank you to every single person who grabbed a shovel and helped shape the course last week. The diggers are the backbone of this whole thing and it couldn't happen without them.

And to our sponsors—thank you for believing in this and supporting something grassroots that’s built from the ground up.

I’m beyond grateful. For the turnout, the energy, the support, and everyone who showed up to ride, help, or just be there.

This one meant a lot.
