This post is all about acknowledging some incredible young adults who have made a massive impact on our program over the years. I can’t speak for their experience, but I certainly know that this crew has brought a lot of joy and stoke to thousands of kids in our community. Yes, thousands!!!! They have all had made such a difference!!! ❤️ They have traveled with us to far away places like Yakutat, Alaska and New York City, Santa Barbara, Hollister Ranch and Santa Cruz. They have floated down rapids on The American River. They have spent hundreds of hours camping in the Redwoods, hiking day and night, setting up and breaking down tents and serving up the best s’mores you have ever seen! It all started with @joedolce__ and then carried over to @dlum306 @_ataylor05_ @justenesti @will_sandler.7 @mgklanjac getting involved through @lifeatsi community service program. It is safe to say that all of these outstanding kids have given their heart and soul to the youth and families that we serve, and have set the bar high as to what it means to build community from the inside out❤️
Joe, Dylan, Alice and Justen are now in their second year of college, and they all worked for us this summer, continuing their legacy as change makers in the world♥️
And Will and Madeline are sailing off into their first semester of college as we speak, and we could not possibly be more proud of all of them. ❤️
This concept of youth helping youth has been an organic process, and it continues to build each and every year, and a lot of that is because of these 6 bright, caring and giving young adults. They have made connections and built relationships along the way that matter, and I can’t truly put into words how impressed I am with all of them, both individually and as a group. And what is also incredibly special is that there are now kids younger than them, that are engaged in the programming just like they were, bringing endless joy to countless youth and families. ❤️
I thank all of you for everything you have contributed to our community, and I am just so proud to know all of you. (Sorry if any of the pictures shared are not cool)❤️

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a deep breath and looking back on what has truly been an incredible year for MeWater Foundation—one filled with waves and mountains, laughter and healing, resilience and so much love.❤️❤️❤️

In 2025, MeWater continued to show up for youth and families through surf therapy and time in nature—supporting mental health and well-being, providing food and necessities, offering mentorship, job opportunities, and college scholarships, and creating safe spaces where young people can feel seen, supported, and empowered. The joy we witnessed this year—the smiles after a surf session, the confidence built through mentorship, the relief of a family supported in a hard moment—is why we do this work.

This year wouldn’t have been possible without you.
Our donors and supporters.
Our incredible volunteers.
Our community partners and generous brands.
And the children and families who trust us with their stories and their hearts.

MeWater is, and has always been, about love—love for Mother Nature, love for community, and the simple magic that happens when we share both.

As we head into 2026—our 11th year—we’re dreaming even bigger. More access. More support. More magic for the youth and families who need it most.

Part 2 of our overnight trip, the waves and weather at Bolinas weren’t great to start the day, so we pivoted big time! The kids found a stick and a tennis ball, and we played “stickball” at the Bolinas tennis court. It was so rad to see the kids get after it! We then suited up and just played in the ocean, launching up in the air, walking the plank, and just hours of play in the water! Thanks to our youth staff and volunteers who lead the way on this, as it turned out to be a very memorable day! This was an incredible trip, and we were reminded that there are no bad days at the beach, and in Mother Nature ❤️

What a week! We had a fantastic time camping and surfing with youth and staff from @tym.family and MeWater community youth. It was our last overnight trip of the summer, and we went out with a bang ‼️for sure❤️. Many of the youth had never tent camped or surfed, and the memories are sure to last forever, as the vibes were all time, in the waves, on the trails, at the grill and the night hikes were all time. We are so glad to have connected with @tym.family and I think this partnership will continue to build into the future ❤️❤️❤️
A very special thanks to all of the volunteers and youth staff who really showed up on this trip, making it a truly special experience for all of us.

We thank everyone who helped support our work in 2024❤️When we started @mewaterfoundation in 2015, it was a passion project, aimed solely at sharing the magic of Mother Nature. 2025 will be our 10th year, and we are so incredibly grateful to our community who help bring endless smiles and life changing experiences to the youth and families that we serve. We got to spend some time down at @hollisterranchpreserve this week, as we took students from @vistadelmarvolunteers school for a magical beach day. It was really special to see all the 5th through 8th graders bonding, laughing and cheering each other on as we rode endless glassy and peeling waves! It was such a treat to be a part of such a great day, and I think it is safe to say that there are plenty more to come! Huge thanks to all of the volunteers who came out, as well as the parents and school staff, and helped share the joy! Thanks @lauren_c_malloy @keithmalloy_bimarianfilms for the invite and hosting us❤️

We just wrapped up our second round of overnight camping of the summer. 4 days and 3 nights in the Redwoods and surfing the beaches of West Marin. For part 1 of the trip we were joined by youth and staff from our long time community partner @apacc_sf as well as MeWater community youth. We surfed, hiked (night and day) and had an absolute blast! Stinson was warm and sunny with pumping south swell, lots of waves ridden on boards and boogies, and some epic bodysurfing! These trips are just the best! Thanks to all of our staff, and all of the volunteers who came out and shared the endless magic of Mother Nature ❤️
More to come in Part 2 of this epic trip!
