They were boxing up their food, but still wouldn’t stop dancing …

Winding down the night at Timeless in Marietta with my musical brothers @jukeboxatlanta after celebrating the music of R. Kelly and mega producer @rodney.east ... Every keyboard sound, sample and loop you hear us jamming and remixing to is running live from my iPad.

I’ve been playing out on iPad rigs since 2019. It works because the rig is built, tested and ready before I ever walk in the room … and people respond.

If you want to build a rig like this, Cohort 1 of the #MobileMusicianAccelerator starts Mon Nov 9. 15 seats. Link in bio.

Special S/O to my baby sister, @patrekawortham_ who came by to say hi, and ended up capturing these moments on 🎥 … Love you sis!!🙏🏾

I was invited to see the 1st runthrough show of the Marvin Gaye Musical in Atlanta and it was so good! And I know it’s only going to get better everyday! But for them to do their first runthrough from top to bottom was excellent! Bravo to everyone involved 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Especially my friends in the cast @dathanthigpen @iamchaestephen @jameciabennett @jeremy.kelsey and the band @dmajorkeys61 (great job MD’ing!) @jonrobertsonbass @iamestyles1 and the other band members that I don’t know. Choreographer, my girl @monijomagic 💃🏾🕺🏾 Everyone was great! You still have time to go see the show tonight at the Cobb Energy Center! Go get your tickets or catch them in another city! And last but certainly not least the producer of the play @jecaryous what an amazing job you and @jkyleskorner have done putting this together sir! Kudos to you and your team and continued success with this musical ✊🏾

By now, some of you may or may not have seen this ad on social media and/or various television networks and radio stations. You may have also seen recent posts of mine where I've posted images and performances of me in Marvin Gaye reimagined looks with this 😏 emoji. Many have asked, "Who is playing Marvin Gaye?" Well, I'd like to officially announce that I've landed the role of playing the incomparable and legendary Mr. Marvin Pence Gaye Il. To say that this is a dream come true is an understatement as I've been pursuing paying homage to the G.O.A.T since 2014. We have been in 10 hour rehearsals all week continuing on through up until our October 10th opening shows at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta, which kicks off a 9 cities and 23 shows tour. If any of you remember the Marvin Gaye musical that I did back in 2019, "Pride and Joy: The Marvin Gaye Musical," this is a pickup of that production with a more indepth storyline. You don't want to miss this one. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. I'm well aware that Marvin Gaye was a very complexed and endearing figure in music history and that my interpretation of him is very sensitive to many people, but I promise to you all that I will do my absolute best to maintain the integrity of the Icon that he is. 🙏🏾
