If you come to a show for me, we'll get a photo. Probably the only way to get a pic of me, to be honest.

We are nothing without our Game Masters. Excited for what's to come @mysticconofficial 🤗 -- Side note: I've never played a game at Mystic Con because I'm always working it 🎥 but just being able to shadow some of these folks and learn from them has been amazing.

Sometimes Life's a Pitch...

GG Hawkins will appear in a later show, stay tuned. Filling in for her this Friday, 9/11 at 8 pm, we have Shaun Leonard!

Shaun Leonard is originally from Galway, Ireland, where he inherited a love of storytelling from poetry, Power Rangers, and Thursday Night Smackdown. You can see how he feels about all of those things in his TEDx talk, and in every fiber of his being. He travelled around Ireland performing his one-man show INSECTS, SELF, SEX, LOVE, AND BLOOD before moving for an MFA in Writing at UNLV. After years in film development, he made the logical next step to become a tabletop creator and professional Game Master. He can be seen in the award-winning short ROOMIES and is currently designing his own board game based on reality television. As an Irish immigrant, he writes about rebels, underdogs, and the diaspora of folklore. You can follow his work @dmchaoticgoof and on chaoticgoof.carrd.co

No context for this photo was provided, so we can only assume this is how all Irish people dress

Text above:
Shaun is originally from Galway, Ireland, where he inherited a love of TTRPGs from his older brothers, and a love of storytelling from poetry, the Power Rangers, and Thursday Night Smackdown. As an actor, improviser, and dungeon master, he believes the key to a good session is collaborative storytelling.

As a GM he’s run sponsored live shows for Darrington Press, and performed in actual plays at San Diego Comic Con, Gen Con, and WonderCon. Shaun uses humor to lure players into emotional investment, and then breaks their hearts with surprising twists of plot and character. Having worked as an editor for Critical Role, he hopes to provide a spotlight for every character to feel like the hero of the story. He uses his game design experience to create layered combats, often with multiple objectives and ticking clocks. When it comes to exploring magical worlds, Shaun tries to impart a sense of wonder in the adventurers at his table.

You can find Shaun talking about games on Instagram, running live shows and panels at conventions around America, or in a random Discord chat teaching players how to play their first RPG.
